This oceanfront 5th floor 2-bedroom, 2-bath Villamare villa offers fabulous ocean views. You will have no problem relaxing while listening to the waves of the Atlantic from either of the two oceanfront balconies, accessed from both bedrooms and the living room. The open floor plan allows for ocean views from every room and ample space for group gatherings, while the bedrooms provide private retreats. The kitchen features granite counters and stainless-steel appliances. The living room is equipped with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, comfortable furnishings, and a queen sleeper sofa. The king master suite offers a private bathroom with granite counters, a walk-in shower, and a garden tub. The 2nd bedroom is outfitted with two double beds and a private bathroom with granite counters, a walk-in shower, and a garden tub. This villa's amazing views will make you want to stay longer!

Villamare is located on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Atlantic Ocean. It's convenient to all the amenities Palmetto Dunes and Hilton Head offer. Beginning the following Monday, March 9, demolition will begin on the courtyard side of Building 1. During this phase:

Great views! Lots of space! Close to everything
I really love this villa! It has tons of space. The beds are comfortable as are the chairs and sofa. Modern appliances. All the kitchen stuff you need. Very clean. The views are what brought me here. I wanted an easy vacation where I could go out on my balcony to enjoy the ocean on lazy days where I didn't want to pack stuff to go to the beach. And this place delivered! The gym is ok, but my son who likes a better workout got a week long pass at a nearby gym. The pool is very nice. Beach access is very easy and not a hike to the beach. There is a ramp so you can easily bring bikes and carts to the beach. Clientele is also great. No noisy parties, no trash. Lots of common courtesy. Only draw backs to the room is the guest shower is super tiny. No grown adult would want to shower there. Everyone is using the master shower. The master bedroom has French doors with windows. There is a thin curtain covering the windows which does not offer privacy for changing. Since there is no housekeeping we had to get some trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels as the starter set didn't last long. And there is only one elevator which is very slow. Check in day took forever to get our stuff to the room as everyone was having to share one slow elevator. But all in all those minor inconveniences were not a problem at all. We did have a parking pass problem. I selected 2 passes and when we got to the gate, the palmetto dunes check in window lady said we only had one and was VERY rude about it! Basically, I got my pass and wanted to verify the second pass was called in because my parents who were arriving later are elderly and wanted to make sure there were no hiccups. She looked at the computer and then barked at me that there is only one called in and I needed to move along and call the owner for another pass. Mind you, I hadn't even asked any other questions, put up a fight, or stayed to argue. I literally just said "oh

Villamare Favorite!
This was our 2nd year at Villamare and definitely our favorite so far. Great views from the room of both the beach and pool area. Condo was super nice and clean. Great area to ride bikes around hilton head and the bike rental location is very close to the condo. Only one thing I would change about the condo is the TV's. It was very confusing at times to get the cable working. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Family Get Away
The condo had a great split floor plan, beautiful views from every window and the unit was well furnished to meet our needs for our week stay. We enjoyed meals on the balcony and grilled out one evening at the outdoor grill area. Beach access was convenient and close.

Great couple getaway
This is a nicely furnished and well-kept unit. Being on the top floor, provides a beautiful view of the pool area and the beach. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony every morning. There was no outside noise and we had very peaceful nights. This unit was a great getaway vacation to a great location. We especially enjoyed bringing our bikes to ride around the area. We hope to be able to come back soon!

What a wonderful condo on HHI! The view from this condo is hard to beat. We had a little bit of a snag when we arrived and the pin for the keypad wouldn’t work, but it was handled (after business hours!) in a matter of minutes. Clean condo with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this condo and will keep it in mind for any future endeavors to HHI. The Vacation Company was SO easy to work with throughout the entire process.

Start date for Hilton Head Island Beach Renourishment
Project-Phase 1 shifts to mid-August

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (January 14, 2026) Marinex Construction will begin mobilizing at Fish Haul Beach Park as part of the Town of Hilton Head Island’s beach renourishment project in mid-August. Marinex updated the new start date due to adverse weather and marine conditions affecting the transfer of materials and equipment from a site off the Florida Atlantic coast.

Originally, Marinex was scheduled to start construction at Fish Haul Beach Park off Mitchelville Road on Aug. 6. Instead, mobilization is now scheduled to take place from about Aug. 13 to Sept. 1. Active beach renourishment construction is anticipated to start during the week of Sept. 2 and be completed by the week of Sept. 15 at Fish Haul. It is anticipated that Fish Haul Beach will be closed to the public for approximately five days in early September when the beach fill begins.

This is a 24/7 project.

Despite this temporary delay, survey and pre-construction activities are ongoing, and the project team remains on track to complete the renourishment work in accordance with the contract schedule windows. "As with any project of this magnitude, we anticipate that changes may arise due to various factors. We encourage the public to stay connected with us through social media and our website for any updates regarding the beach renourishment project," said Jeff Netzinger, Director of Engineering and Public Projects for the Town.

The beach renourishment project will occur in three phases, with an anticipated completion date of May 2026. The new anticipated schedule is as follows:

  • Phase 1 - Port Royal (the Heel), Fish Haul and Pine Island
    • Complete - Contractor mobilizes in August 2025.
    • Complete - Weeks of August 13, 2025 thru September 17, 2025 - Fish Haul area
    • Complete - Weeks of September 18, 2025 thru October 10, 2025 - Pine Island
    • Complete - Weeks of October 11, 2025 thru October 17, 2025 - Port Royal (The Heel)
  • Phase 2 - Central Island, South Island and South Beach
    • Weeks of December 11, 2025 thru March 28, 2026 - Central Island, including beach areas along Palmetto Dunes
    • Weeks of March 28, 2026 thru May 31, 2026 - South Island and South Beach areas .
  • Phase 3 - Pine Island Breakwater Structures
    • Weeks of November 1, 2025 thru April 30, 2026

“It’s a priority to preserve, protect and cherish our beaches – one of our greatest assets. Our Island depends on their ongoing vitality. The Town’s role is to carry out the community’s collective dedication to this environmental core value through our investment in restoration and maintenance,” said Mayor Alan Perry. “And fortunately, due to the foresight of Town leaders before us and thanks to our millions of visitors, this project is funded through our beach preservation fund and capital improvement program.”


Beach renourishment is a moving work zone that typically progresses at about 1,000 feet per section-just 2% of the Island’s total beach area. On average, only 300 feet of beach will be impacted per day. Temporary beach access ramps and clear signage will help direct beachgoers safely around active work areas to open areas of the beach. As soon as an active site is completed, the equipment will move down the beach and the newly renourished section will open.

Special protection has been made for wildlife that may be impacted because of the project. All work will be supervised by consultant teams under contract to monitor sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Additionally, per a requirement of the beach renourishment permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Town amended its municipal code to restrict animal/dog activity in an area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek beach park. This requirement protects endangered shorebird species that migrate and nest there. Signage is posted and no other beach areas will be affected. Dogs are still allowed per the Town’s seasonal rules – only a small section of the creek area adjacent to the beach park is restricted.

Marinex Construction, Inc., the contractor for the project, began mobilizing equipment this month in preparation for the work. This includes positioning their offshore barges and staging miles of steel pipes to pump sand from ocean shoals back to beaches. Crews will be working around the clock daily.

The beach renourishment process helps to:

  • Preserve a healthy shoreline ecosystem for wildlife such as sea turtles and shorebirds.
  • Protect beachfront properties and infrastructure from storms.
  • Provide wider, more enjoyable beaches for residents and visitors alike.
