This attractive 4th floor, 2-bedroom, 2-bath Villamare villa is located in Palmetto Dunes. It offers a lovely angled view of the ocean. Relax and enjoy listening to the waves of the Atlantic from two private balconies, accessible from both bedrooms and the living room!

Villamare is located on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Atlantic Ocean and it's convenient to all the amenities Hilton Head offers. In addition to its fabulous location, Villamare also offers an on-site fitness center, an indoor heated pool, as well as two gorgeous oceanfront pools. You can't go wrong with Villamare!

• Phase 1 (Spring 2026): Starting Monday, March 2, demolition of the walkways along Building 3 courtyard will begin. During this phase:

• Both grand staircases at Building 3 will be closed.

• Guests will be able to access the area using the Disney-side walkway of Building 3.

Beginning the following Monday, March 9, demolition will begin on the courtyard side of Building 1. During this phase:

• The Building 1 grand staircase will be closed.

• Guests will need to use the road-side walkway to access the beach and pool areas.

The project is scheduled for completion by April 1, pending weather conditions or any unforeseen delays. We will continue to provide updates should the timeline change.

• PHASE 2 (Fall 2026): Remaining portions of the project.

**HALLWAY FLOOR PAINTING TO BEGIN IN APRIL, starting with Building 3, and is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

What to Expect

• Work hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Areas with cracks or holes will be sanded; this process will involve dust and loud noise.

• The painting process takes approximately one hour per area. Wet areas will be clearly marked and reopened once dry.

• A strong paint odor should be expected and may linger for up to two hours.

We enjoyed the property for a quick getaway. Pool area was nice and proximity to beach and center island activities and dining were great. Only issue was elevators went out and we had to carry our bags down 4 flights of stairs at checkout.

Delightful Palmetto Dunes location and condo
We had an amazing stay in this 2BR condo in Villamare. Unit is just as advertised. Nice access to the beach, pretty pool. Condo was neat and clean. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils to make the stay easy. Both bedrooms are large. Rental also came with credit to rent chairs and bikes which was awesome. Large TVs with YouTube TV and access to other apps. Complex is well positioned with great access to tennis courts, walking and biking paths, and a place to rent kayaks and canoes. We will certainly be back to Villamare and would gladly rent this unit again.

Super Great Spot!
Our family comes back to this Villamare every year and this specific location provided another great seamless experience! The vacation rental company even came with a credit to rent bikes on the island that they deliver to you, which was really fun! 100% would rent again.

Clean Condo and Great Pool Amenity
The condo was very clean, had fresh towels/bedding and was tidy when we arrived. We were impressed by the new renovation of the pool area and the condo has easy access to the ocean. We received a bike credit which was very nice, as we rode bikes everyday. The only downside is that the condo is not ocean nor beach front which we would prefer, however, we were aware of this up front when booking. We would definitely recommend otherwise!

Great Vacation Getaway!
One of the best condos we have stayed in at Hilton Head. Beautiful decor and lots of amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo and will definitely stay here again. We have stayed in Palmetto Dunes for years but at other condo units and this one was the best!

Wonderful getaway
The property was beautiful, clean, and RIGHT ON THE BEACH! The checkin/check out process was simple, location was perfect. I have zero complaints. The garbage disposal wasn't working at one point, I called and told them, and it was fixed within hours. Great communication and customer service!

Great location in Palmetto Dunes
This condo is a great location in Palmetto Dunes (Villamare). The property manager was great to work with and reached out to us by phone after we made our last minute trip reservation. The condo was clean and had nice amenities. There were beach towels available for us to use. It was great also to have access to the indoor pool during our stay. It’s a short walk to the beach. There are partial ocean views from the balcony/windows.

Exactly as described. Steps to pool and ocean. Condo is perfect for sharing with friends with the split design. Everything was thought of and we didn't need a thing. Would definately consider staying again in the near future.

So close to the beach

Project-Phase 1 shifts to mid-August

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (January 14, 2026) Marinex Construction will begin mobilizing at Fish Haul Beach Park as part of the Town of Hilton Head Island’s beach renourishment project in mid-August. Marinex updated the new start date due to adverse weather and marine conditions affecting the transfer of materials and equipment from a site off the Florida Atlantic coast.

Originally, Marinex was scheduled to start construction at Fish Haul Beach Park off Mitchelville Road on Aug. 6. Instead, mobilization is now scheduled to take place from about Aug. 13 to Sept. 1. Active beach renourishment construction is anticipated to start during the week of Sept. 2 and be completed by the week of Sept. 15 at Fish Haul. It is anticipated that Fish Haul Beach will be closed to the public for approximately five days in early September when the beach fill begins.

This is a 24/7 project.

Despite this temporary delay, survey and pre-construction activities are ongoing, and the project team remains on track to complete the renourishment work in accordance with the contract schedule windows. "As with any project of this magnitude, we anticipate that changes may arise due to various factors. We encourage the public to stay connected with us through social media and our website for any updates regarding the beach renourishment project," said Jeff Netzinger, Director of Engineering and Public Projects for the Town.

The beach renourishment project will occur in three phases, with an anticipated completion date of May 2026. The new anticipated schedule is as follows:

  • Phase 1 - Port Royal (the Heel), Fish Haul and Pine Island
    • Complete - Contractor mobilizes in August 2025.
    • Complete - Weeks of August 13, 2025 thru September 17, 2025 - Fish Haul area
    • Complete - Weeks of September 18, 2025 thru October 10, 2025 - Pine Island
    • Complete - Weeks of October 11, 2025 thru October 17, 2025 - Port Royal (The Heel)
  • Phase 2 - Central Island, South Island and South Beach
    • Weeks of December 11, 2025 thru March 28, 2026 - Central Island, including beach areas along Palmetto Dunes
    • Weeks of March 28, 2026 thru May 31, 2026 - South Island and South Beach areas .
  • Phase 3 - Pine Island Breakwater Structures
    • Weeks of November 1, 2025 thru April 30, 2026

“It’s a priority to preserve, protect and cherish our beaches – one of our greatest assets. Our Island depends on their ongoing vitality. The Town’s role is to carry out the community’s collective dedication to this environmental core value through our investment in restoration and maintenance,” said Mayor Alan Perry. “And fortunately, due to the foresight of Town leaders before us and thanks to our millions of visitors, this project is funded through our beach preservation fund and capital improvement program.”


Beach renourishment is a moving work zone that typically progresses at about 1,000 feet per section-just 2% of the Island’s total beach area. On average, only 300 feet of beach will be impacted per day. Temporary beach access ramps and clear signage will help direct beachgoers safely around active work areas to open areas of the beach. As soon as an active site is completed, the equipment will move down the beach and the newly renourished section will open.

Special protection has been made for wildlife that may be impacted because of the project. All work will be supervised by consultant teams under contract to monitor sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Additionally, per a requirement of the beach renourishment permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Town amended its municipal code to restrict animal/dog activity in an area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek beach park. This requirement protects endangered shorebird species that migrate and nest there. Signage is posted and no other beach areas will be affected. Dogs are still allowed per the Town’s seasonal rules – only a small section of the creek area adjacent to the beach park is restricted.

Marinex Construction, Inc., the contractor for the project, began mobilizing equipment this month in preparation for the work. This includes positioning their offshore barges and staging miles of steel pipes to pump sand from ocean shoals back to beaches. Crews will be working around the clock daily.

The beach renourishment process helps to:

  • Preserve a healthy shoreline ecosystem for wildlife such as sea turtles and shorebirds.
  • Protect beachfront properties and infrastructure from storms.
  • Provide wider, more enjoyable beaches for residents and visitors alike.
