1101 Villamare

We rented a condo before this one, and when we got there it smelled of pure mildew. We called Vacation Co and they gave us this room. While this room doesn’t smell, it’s very outdated. The beds are hard as rocks. The refrigerator has rust and is dirty. The living room furniture is so old and so hard. It’s very outdated and for the price we paid, I wouldn’t do it again. We went with Beach properties in the fall, and I would go with them again. Every time I have booked with them, we get an an amazing villa. The stove is old too. Just do yourself a favor and ave your money.

We were pleasantly surprised with the vacation, companies, service, and little extras that made to stay more enjoyable. The room worked well for us and four kids. It was great location (with the exception of you could hear the kids yelling in the pool at 9:30pm) with very easy access to the beach. A few things that stood out but only minimally effected our stay were, the appliances could use an update, one of the legs on the master bed was broken and the tile work in the master shower seem to be DYI. But overall great stay and would use vacation company again.

If the view and convenience is #1 to you then this could be your ideal place. For me, I'd give it about a C, not the standards we are accustomed to at home or at Hilton Head. It would be ideal to have a toilet that doesn't leak from the base, causing us to use all the towels i. The villa, have to share one bathroom til the next day etc. I will say the response from Vacation Co was excellent and the following day on Sunday they sent a plumber who replaced some of the internal mechanisms. Another issue was the hot tub stopped heating around mid afternoon on New Year's Eve. If you weren't going out on the town then hanging out with your friends/family in the hot tub was prob on the agenda. I called Vacation Co knowing this was not part of their jurisdiction and they gave a number for me to call of the company that manages the Villamare. I called that number and realized we were not going to get it fixed that evening when they suggested I walk around the buildings and look for someone to help (at 5:30 on New Year's Eve!). On New Year's Day the water was still cold (really cold ) so that was a huge bummer. As far as the unit - both outside tables were pretty rusted. (Like dangerous if you got scratched and ended up with rust under your skin). If either table was at my house it would have been discarded a few years ago... and the couch, let's just say I've seen nicer couches free on FB marketplace. This was our first time staying outside of Sea Pines, but I can say, it seems that Sea Pines owners do much better job keeping furniture updated or at least steam cleaned.

We love staying at Villamare and especially on Floor 1. We tried a different building this stay and were very pleased. The only downside was the pool gate slamming right below our unit, but that did stop by 10pm each evening. Overall, we had a great visit to this unit and will keep it in mind for future visits!

Nice condo, beautiful view of pool and can see the ocean too. Downfall to being on the first floor next to the pool is that you hear the gate to the pool slam shut in the evening a lot. Nice condo, however the right bed in the condo rattled a lot where my 5 year old slept. But I’m sure that could be fixed by the owner easily. Make sure to bring salt, pepper, if you like to cook a little while your there. We usually eat breakfast and lunch in. If you need to use the knives, maybe bring a knife sharpener or your own. Make sure to bring your charging cords too for your devices. Overall, very happy. Love Villamare in Hilton Head, sad to leave

Overall the stay was great! We did have a super slow draining shower on side B, and the sink in side A master took a bit to drain as well. Coffee maker had no pot- but the keurig worked fine.

We stayed in this condo over Labor Day weekend. The condo is clean, well stocked and has everything you need for perfect beach vacation. The condo is on the first floor, and convenient to the inside stairs from the under ground parking garage. All cooking necessities are provided and the views from the balcony (one off master and one off guest room) overlook the beautiful pool and you also have a view of the ocean! Villamare's amenities cannot be beat. The pool is gorgeous and well maintained with plenty of chairs, and it also has an indoor pool as well. The beach access is just the best. A nice walkway goes down to the beach and you can rent chairs for the week but it so close you can just take you own. The condos are also next door to the Marriott. You can walk from the beach to the bar and get a cocktail or go to the Dunes Club which is also a few doors down. The condo has the best of both worlds with such great access to the pool and beach so close. Also, Palmetto Dunes is a beautiful plantation and bike riding is a must! We will be back!
