Description Description
898 Ketch Court is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath townhouse located in the heart of world-famous Harbour Town. Decorated in lovely traditional furnishings this villa is perfect for small families and golf outings. On the main living level are the kitchen, dining area, and living area. Access to your private patio with seating for 4 and a gas grill is just off the living area.

All 3 bedrooms with private baths are located upstairs. The master bedroom is outfitted with a king bed and is located to the right as you walk up the stairs. The 2nd and 3rd King bedrooms are to the left and both of these bedrooms have views of the beautiful Harbour Town Clubhouse. Walk to the world famous red and white striped lighthouse in the marina or dine in one of the many wonderful restaurants that are all just steps away from this lovely villa!

Beginning on May 5, 2025, two weeks after the finish of this year's RBC Heritage, the world-famous, Pete Dye-designed Harbour Town Golf Links will close for an extensive restoration project. This project has a tentative completion date of November 2025. Views of the course may be obstructed as course maintenance will be taking place 5-7 days a week.

Great group to rent from
Had an issue with the heat at the original place we were supposed to stay. They were already there working on it before we arrived and knew it would t be fixed. So they helped get us over into another property they had available that was great with a great location as well. Hard to find good customer service but had it in spades here!

Just as great as we remember
This is our second time visiting this property and we loved it just as much as the first time. We love the location and the space is perfect for our family. We love that every room has a king bed and its own bathroom. The kitchen had everything that we needed and we appreciate the extra little things that are included like beach chairs, laundry basket, and detergents. We hope to come back for a 3rd visit very soon!

Great Location and Next to Harbortown
The pool access was close (just across the street). Bedrooms are nicely decorated. Pots and pans and kitchen utensils in great shape. Ceramic Tile throughout the downstairs. Each bedroom has its own full batch, the extra 1/2 bath downstairs definitely useful. My main complaint is that the lighting throughout the home is Incandescent, and radiates lots of heat into the living areas. If they switch to LED lighting, this would help the A/C unit work less against the June heat we were having. Also wish there was a way to access the back courtyard from the street (acess is only thought the house). Overall a nice property to rent.

Pleasant stay
Spent a week at this lovely spacious 3 bed, 3.5 bath condo. Quiet and well appointed end unit/townhouse. A couple of great restaurants within walking distance. We had great meals at Links and CQ’s. Thoroughly mediocre food at Crazy Crab which is also within walking distance. I have a few minor complaints…I told the property manager I needed two parking passes. I was given a code to a lock box outside their office in case I arrived after hours. Luckily I got there while the office was open as they only had one parking pass for me. It’s $9 a day if you don’t have a parking pass to get into Seapines. The Roku was not set up so we couldn’t use it until a tech guy came to condo a few days into our stay. Better instructions on how use the heating/cooling system would be nice. There were extra pillows in the closets but no pillowcases so we could use them. Problem with one shower but as we were a party of two couples not an issue as the condo has three full baths. I alerted property manager so they can remedy situation. We would stay here again.

Golf trip
Golf trip with friends town home was in great location minute’s from harbour town golf course All bedrooms had own bathroom and king beds big plus. Short drive to beach and salty dog cafe Pool is right across street. Would definitely try again.

Lovely villa!
The villa was lovely and well equipped for a wonderful stay. It would have been more enjoyable if we were able to use the pool the first half of the week's stay. We were not informed we needed a pool pass so we were turned away. After a couple of calls to the property manager and much searching we finally found it inside the front door hanging above the top right door hinge near the ceiling. Just happened to see it by accident (the light color of the pass blended in with the wall). We missed 2 of the 4 "nice pool days". If that is it's regular resting place, it should be communicated to guests. Other than that we had a great time.

Great Location
The villa is in a fantastic location. The space is very nice and functional. The furniture, while in good condition is huge, and takes up much of the space in each room. Having 3.5 bathrooms was very nice. The patio had a ton of leaves and other debris so it could have used a good cleaning to be more useful but other than that it was great.

Can't beat the location
We love staying in Sea Pines and this was the best location we've stayed at so far! It's so close to everything we needed- the pool, the playground, restaurants, bike paths. The kitchen was very well equipped for all our meals in. We really appreciated all the extra things that were provided-beach/pool stuff, extra trash cans, even a laundry basket that made doing laundry easier. The space was perfect for our family and we can't wait to stay at this location again!

Comfortable, quite, well equipped
The bed was good - I usually have terrible back pain sleeping in anything less than an optimal bed, so that was great. Likewise happy about blackout curtains so I could sleep. If you like to cook or bake, the kitchen is very well equipped with high end appliances and related, not the usual discount/dollar store fare more typically found in rentals. The living room had a nice big TV with a top of the line surround-sound system which I suppose would be great for watching movies or having nice music playing, though we didn’t use it - it was never the less impressive and well beyond the norm. Everything about the place was generally positive. The few negatives: the bathroom for the room I slept in had a nice shower but no ledge or shelf anywhere to put soap and shampoo, consequently my soap in the soap dish sat on the shower floor and was swamped while showering and the soap was always waterlogged mush, and I disliked having to bend down to get the shampoo, conditioner, and my comb every time from the floor. It’s just an odd oversight to leave out a practical element like that. Another guest complained that the outdoor patio had a layer of green slime mold on the ground and wanted it scrubbed clean so the kids visiting wouldn’t run around on it with their bare feet.

Photos don't do this villa justice. Much nicer and more spacious than the photos indicate. Completely updated and newly furnished. Meehan we checked in we found it in immaculate condition. Tastefully furnished and well appointed. Included beach toys. Great location in Harbour Town. Definitely will stay here again.

2025 Beach Renourishment Project 2025 Beach Renourishment Project

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS provided by the TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Hilton Head Island's beach is crucial to both residents and the local economy. To preserve this valuable resource, the Town has planned a beach restoration project for Summer 2025, funded primarily by tourism through the local Beach Preservation Fee.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
  • The 2025 beach renourishment is expected to be similar to the previous projects in 1990, 1997, 2006 and 2016.
  • The proposed project will include the placement of approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach compatible sand from up to four offshore borrow areas along about 46,500 ft of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  • This project is part of the Town's ongoing beach management program, with renourishment scheduled every 8 to 10 years, depending on weather and beach conditions.
  • Pine Island in Hilton Head Plantation will be included in the 2025 restoration.
SAND PLACEMENT

The proposed project will include sand placement along five areas of the island shoreline:

  1. South Beach / South Island - Approximately 750,000 cubic yards of sand along approximately 10,230 feet of the southern Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  2. Central Island - Approximately 700,000 cubic yards along 28,860 feet of Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  3. The Heel - Approximately 500,000 cubic yards of sand along 5,280 feet at the northeast point of the island at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  4. Fish Haul Creek - Approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand along about 2,130 feet of Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  5. Pine Island - Approximately 180,000 cubic yards of beach compatible sand and construction of six rock breakwaters on the Port Royal Sound shoreline of Hilton Head Plantation between Dolphin Head and Pine Island.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The nourishment sand will be excavated by hydraulic dredge from two offshore shoal features.

  • Up to 50,000 feet of pipeline will be trucked or floated to the island by way of large rafts, then moved onto the beach.
  • The pipeline will be piled in stacks along the shoreline until needed during construction.
  • During construction, many miles of pipeline will be submerged on the ocean floor between the offshore borrow sites and the beach.
  • The rest of the pipeline will be laid progressively along the newly constructed beach as the fill sand is pumped on shore.

The dredge will pump a mixture of sand and seawater through the pipeline, and will discharge it onto the beach.

  • There, it will flow parallel to the shoreline - allowing the sand to settle out and the water to return to the sea.
  • Bulldozers and other heavy construction machinery will constantly shape the sand to meet the design specifications.

Project construction is expected to last approximately six months, operating around the clock.

  • On average, the process should move along the shoreline at a rate of about 200 to 300 feet per day.
  • As the fill placement progresses, approximately 1,000 foot sections of the beach are closed temporarily to pedestrian access.
  • Several days of work activity will occur seaward of any one piece of oceanfront property in the 1,000 foot active work area along the beach.
  • Once placed and rough-graded, the new beach is immediately reopened to the public.
IMPACTS ON RESIDENTS AND VISITORS
  • Construction noise will primarily involve bulldozers shaping the sand as it is deposited.
  • Disruptions at individual properties generally last about three or four days as the renourishment operation progresses.
  • Adjacent property owners, or renters, may experience short-term minor inconveniences.
