Wonderful Unit; Great Views!
We just returned from a wonderful Thanksgiving week stay at 181 Twin Oaks, and it was truly one of the nicest properties we’ve enjoyed in more than 40 years of visiting the island. The condo was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The location is exceptional. The newly refurbished Harbour Town Golf Course sits just off the back deck, creating a peaceful setting for morning coffee or dinner while watching the sun set over the 10th fairway. 181 Twin Oaks is also perfectly situated within Sea Pines—convenient to Harbour Town, South Beach, and the Beach Club. All are just a short drive away or easily reached by bike or on foot. This was our first experience renting through The Vacation Company, and we were very impressed. Communication before arrival and prior to departure was clear and timely, and they responded quickly to any questions we had along the way. The included “Beach Equipment” credit was a great bonus—it covered our bike and chair rentals, however, since the condo already had beach chairs available, we really did not need to rent extras. We look forward to renting with The Vacation Company again and will be adding 181 Twin Oaks to our list of favorite locations for future trips.

I'd Stay Again.
Good:181 Twin Oaks is a great location. It's approximately a 1 mile bicycle ride into Harbour Town or a 3 min car ride- so the location is great. Behind the property is a golf course and a little stream and it's a very pretty view. I stayed for a week in June 2025. I liked to get up in the morning and sit on the back deck with my coffee and relax. Very enjoyable and relaxing.The downstairs common areas (kitchen, living room, and dinning room) were nicely furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed (we didn't eat dinner there but ate breakfasts and lunch there). The large TV in the living room was great. The bedrooms were good size for my wife and I, as well as my adult children. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. There was plenty of storage space for our clothes etc. The pool is 50 steps from the condo. The pool is very nice and partially shaded from the hot SC summer sun. There was plenty of sun for my wife and daughter to sit out though. In the week we were there, the pool was never very crowded.Twin Oaks is a nice area to spend a week. Some construction noise (SeaPines is re-doing the golf courses so there was some construction trucks around) but nothing too bad. Not so Good:The bathrooms (and specifically the master bathroom) need updating. Back deck needs to be cleaned.Overall:Great location, very comfortable bedrooms and common areas and great pool. Overall, a great week, and I'd stay here again!

Absolutely Perfect!
Hilton Head is a beautiful Island in itself however, staying in Sea Pines in this beautiful Condo was outstanding!! This property has it all. It is obvious the owners take pride in accommodating their guests in every aspect within the condo. From the bedrooms and bathrooms to the the open concept of the kitchen, living room and dinette. The furnishings are updated and comfortable. The deck is the bomb Weber grill, super comfy furniture and on the 10th fairway. You can even see the ocean from the deck. The large and clean pool is also across where you park. The pool gradually gets to 8' feet deep as a nice option vs. a shallow pool. This property and location are truly amazing. I highly recommend this property with no disappointments.

This villa has it all!!!!
My wife and I spent a week at this villa to celebrate our 25-year anniversary and were absolutely thrilled by everything about it. The interior is modern and tastefully decorated and the location is ideal. We're planning on returning with other couples as the villa was extremely spacious. Walking distance to Harbourtown, quiet nights on the large deck and wonderful views of evening sunsets. Owners were extremely responsive and easy to work with. This place has it all! Can't wait to return!!!

Fantastic Condo and location
Beautiful property in a great location right on the golf course. Quiet, comfortable, and relaxing yet close to all the attractions and activities Hilton Head has to offer. This Villa is gorgeous. Beautifully decorated with all the top notch amenities you could want/need. Fully equipped, gourmet kitchen, all 3 bedrooms have their own full bathrooms, & have king size beds with very comfy bedding. Located on the 10th fairway of Harbour Town golf course & offers gorgeous views! Conveniently located close to Harbour Town with walking & biking trails throughout the island. This was a dream vacation week & the Villa lived up to all of our expectations. I highly recommend 181 Twin Oaks.

Perfection!
What a stunning villa! From location, to amenities, to finishes, to comfort, 181 Twin Oaks checked every box. Gorgeous views of the golf course from inside and out. Every room is meticulously decorated! A chef's kitchen with a huge island for gathering and all new furnishings throughout made for a truly luxurious and comfortable stay. Bright & Cheery Villa
My family of 6 adults and 4 grandkids have stayed in this villa since 2017 for the RBC golf tournament . This year was under new ownership. The improvements are awesome. Easy access to the pool which is across the street. Beautiful view of the golf course. Close to the he Harbor. Our family really enjoyed the improvements. We will be back next year!

Fabulous Villa
Beautiful newly renovated villa with great view of golf course and lovely outdoor deck with grill.Conveniently located close to Harbourtown . This villa is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you could want. The gourmet kitchen is a cook's dream. Three king sized beds with comfy bedding. Outstanding Villa
We have rented this villa for the past nine years for various stays from three weeks to nine weeks. It is one of the best locations in Sea Pines with entertaining views of the action on number 10 and 16 fairways of Harbour Town Golf Links, distant views of Calibogue Sound and a short walk to Harbour Town. Under new ownership and professional management, this year we were greeted with southern hospitality and a beautiful redecorating of the entire villa and deck. This included new furnishings, televisions, ceiling fans, light fixtures and very well equipped kitchen. This is a truly great spot which we have booked again for next year.

Awsome Villa!
Great space. Right on the golf course, close to the pool and a short walk to Harbor Town. You can bike to everywhere from this location on the smooth, safe bike paths. Villa is spacious with like new luxury finishes. 3 KING beds/bedrooms!!! All beds were very comfortable with great pillows. Huge kitchen island is great gathering space. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Great patio space for outside living. Highly recommend this villa!

Superb Villa

Fabulous Villa!
We have stayed at 181 Twin Oaks 3 times now and it continues to exceed our expectations. We've been going to Sea Pines for over 12 years and have stayed at several places but this is our very favorite. It's the perfect location right between the Beach Club and Harbourtown and the views from the deck are amazing. The amenities are top notch with added touches by the owners who are wonderful people. The entire villa is renovated and feels like new. I highly recommend staying here and you won't be disappointed.

Perfect!
We loved everything about this villa! The location is great and the view is simply stunning. The villa has incredibly nice furnishings and the kitchen is fully stocked. Project-Phase 1 shifts to mid-August

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (January 14, 2026) Marinex Construction will begin mobilizing at Fish Haul Beach Park as part of the Town of Hilton Head Island’s beach renourishment project in mid-August. Marinex updated the new start date due to adverse weather and marine conditions affecting the transfer of materials and equipment from a site off the Florida Atlantic coast.

Originally, Marinex was scheduled to start construction at Fish Haul Beach Park off Mitchelville Road on Aug. 6. Instead, mobilization is now scheduled to take place from about Aug. 13 to Sept. 1. Active beach renourishment construction is anticipated to start during the week of Sept. 2 and be completed by the week of Sept. 15 at Fish Haul. It is anticipated that Fish Haul Beach will be closed to the public for approximately five days in early September when the beach fill begins.

This is a 24/7 project.

Despite this temporary delay, survey and pre-construction activities are ongoing, and the project team remains on track to complete the renourishment work in accordance with the contract schedule windows. "As with any project of this magnitude, we anticipate that changes may arise due to various factors. We encourage the public to stay connected with us through social media and our website for any updates regarding the beach renourishment project," said Jeff Netzinger, Director of Engineering and Public Projects for the Town.

The beach renourishment project will occur in three phases, with an anticipated completion date of May 2026. The new anticipated schedule is as follows:

  • Phase 1 - Port Royal (the Heel), Fish Haul and Pine Island
    • Complete - Contractor mobilizes in August 2025.
    • Complete - Weeks of August 13, 2025 thru September 17, 2025 - Fish Haul area
    • Complete - Weeks of September 18, 2025 thru October 10, 2025 - Pine Island
    • Complete - Weeks of October 11, 2025 thru October 17, 2025 - Port Royal (The Heel)
  • Phase 2 - Central Island, South Island and South Beach
    • Weeks of December 11, 2025 thru March 28, 2026 - Central Island, including beach areas along Palmetto Dunes
    • Weeks of March 28, 2026 thru May 31, 2026 - South Island and South Beach areas .
  • Phase 3 - Pine Island Breakwater Structures
    • Weeks of November 1, 2025 thru April 30, 2026

Beach renourishment is a moving work zone that typically progresses at about 1,000 feet per section-just 2% of the Island’s total beach area. On average, only 300 feet of beach will be impacted per day. Temporary beach access ramps and clear signage will help direct beachgoers safely around active work areas to open areas of the beach. As soon as an active site is completed, the equipment will move down the beach and the newly renourished section will open.

Special protection has been made for wildlife that may be impacted because of the project. All work will be supervised by consultant teams under contract to monitor sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Additionally, per a requirement of the beach renourishment permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Town amended its municipal code to restrict animal/dog activity in an area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek beach park. This requirement protects endangered shorebird species that migrate and nest there. Signage is posted and no other beach areas will be affected. Dogs are still allowed per the Town’s seasonal rules – only a small section of the creek area adjacent to the beach park is restricted.

Marinex Construction, Inc., the contractor for the project, began mobilizing equipment this month in preparation for the work. This includes positioning their offshore barges and staging miles of steel pipes to pump sand from ocean shoals back to beaches. Crews will be working around the clock daily.

The beach renourishment process helps to:

  • Preserve a healthy shoreline ecosystem for wildlife such as sea turtles and shorebirds.
  • Protect beachfront properties and infrastructure from storms.
