Description

This low country chic 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath villa in Palmetto Dunes is the perfect island escape. This villa features a cathedral ceiling in the main living area and a queen mattress sleeper sofa with a gel mattress for added comfort. The third bedroom has been updated with two queen beds, and all bedrooms now have private bathrooms. There is also an additional half bath located off the living area.

For your convenience, beach toys, umbrellas, and beach chairs are available in the storage locker. You'll have easy access to all of Palmetto Dunes' amenities, including three award-winning golf courses, lagoon activities, and several beachfront restaurants.

The villa also features a heated private pool (available March-May and Sept-Nov), a hot tub, a baby pool, and on-site dressing rooms and restrooms. The beach is easily accessible and has a low population density, even during peak season.

Palmetto Dunes offers a network of trails for bicyclists and joggers and boasts three miles of wide, sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. The deck and screened porch have an amazing view of the Lagoon. High ceilings and large windows grace this beautiful living and dining space with a 75" TV. Hardwoods run throughout the main floor, even in the bright and sunny kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. All this is in a wooded beach area, only a short bike ride to the sandy shore.

• Shelter Cove Marina, which is an extension of Palmetto Dunes, has seven waterfront restaurants as well as many watersports activities.

• Palmetto Dunes has 3 miles of wide sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. As a de-stressor, this island and Huntington Villa's cannot be beat.

Our family of 6 was very comfortable. Enjoyed the quiet location and convenience to golf and stores and restaurants. Rented bikes at the discounted rate, my family enjoyed riding. Proximity to beach was good.

Hilton Head vacation

The service and communication from the Vacation Company was great. The rental credit model worked well for bikes, umbrella and beach wagon and drop off and pickup were on time. The weather the first two days was not good with considerable rain and wind but cleared up after that. The villa was as pictured with only a few items that were slightly inconvenient. We had three desperate parties driving but only two passes provided for the fee we paid. The villa had an outside porch that was not useable during the wet weather but even after because wind brought down significant debris from surrounding trees and landscape company only came once the week we were there so we used the screened in porch. Some minor repair of the screen door is required to allow it to open close and lock properly. We had a couple palmetto bugs in the villa near the laundry area and upstairs bathroom but not a big issue. Reported water leak under cabinet of kitchen sink we noticed on departure day. Thanks for a great stay to everyone.

We had rain and wind the first two days and with the pine trees it rendered the back open porch unuseable. Landscape maintenance only came once during the week so we used the screened porch. Has had a palmetto bug in the kitchen area and upstairs bathroom in the unit but not a large problem. Reported water under the kitchen sink cabinet to rental company upon check out when we discovered it. Had three vehicles during a portion of the week and the third pass was allowed but not included 35 charge.

We loved the property and the location. The house was very clean, nicely decorated and looked updated (with a few small exceptions). The walk to the beach was about 8 minutes but was a beautiful walk. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the screened in patio - it was so nice to enjoy a cup of coffee without worrying about mosquitos. They had some chairs and beach toys in the outside closet which were awesome!

Perfect retreat.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Great lagoon view. Clean heated well equipped pool. Guest bedroom MATTRESSES old and uncomfortable and need be replaced. Bring your own coffee filters and salt & pepper. Overall vey happy and would rebook. Palmetto Dunes is definitely the right HH island location.

Our only issue was the night we arrived- we had some trouble getting in the gate - we called the answering service and they said someone would call us asap. I also texted the number that had sent me messages. I never heard from anyone that night nor our entire vacation. We would stay here again!
