3 Gloucester Road

We chose this property because of its size and location for our adult kids and grandchildren. It is definitely a spacious and well-equipped home for our needs, but. As a short term rental property owner ourselves, there were a few items I feel should be addressed. The refrigerator had some broken parts that should have been fixed. The stove had two burners that donot work properly- one that doesnt light at all and the other does not change temperatures. Spices available were at a minimum. The upstairs fan / family room fan could not be turned off from the marked controls, and it was chilly! The pool was not very clean when we arrived and was not cleaned until the day before leaving. The third day we were there, water was off for over an hour, though this was not the property managers fault. The deck gave us lots of splinters in the children’s feet so we had to wear shoes when getting in and out of the pool. Abd lastly, tge shower in the smaller bedroom on the first floor needs a new shower head that sprays outward, so you don’t have to stand against the faucets to beunder the shower head. I know these are all little annoyances, but they add up. Other issues we had werehandled immediately by the property managers(toilet seat was loose, ice-makerand coffee maker broken). Would I rent this property again, probably. It was a lovely home with lits of space for the family and overall, wehad a wonderful time!

We loved the property at 3 Gloucester Road. It was a beautiful house with everything we needed for our vacation week! The pool and yard were terrific!! We’ll definitely stay at this house again! Absolutely excellent!!

My family and I have stayed on the island many times. This was by far our best stay! The house was fantastic! Every day we spent mornings at the beach and evenings by the pool. Huge kitchen to be able to cook for everyone and a gorgeous dinning room table that fit us all. Check in was quick and easy and the house was super clean. We are going to come back next spring and there's nowhere else we would rather stay!

Our large family absolutely loved our time here. The property feels very private, secluded compared to others we’ve had on Hilton Head. It’s clear the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into how the house and pool area feel, it’s very easy to feel at home. The transition from living area, through the sunroom and seating area into the pool area is so beautiful, easy, and great for entertaining. We especially loved the mornings spent together in the screened in porch, an ideal way to meet a new day. And after a day in the sun, we all loved to relax in the screened porch and open concept living area. We can’t wait to go back, this place is perfect, five stars isn’t enough. We’ve already booked for next year.

We loved this house. Its nicely secluded from neighbors being the last house on the street. The pool, deck with the indoor/outdoor sunroom makes entertaining really unique and easy. The screened porch is great in the morning for coffee and in the afternoon to get out of the sun and enjoy the breeze. Five stars isn’t enough. We already booked for next year.

The house met our expectations. There was a large living area on the main floor to accommodate our group and the bunk bed room was great for kids. We all enjoyed the screened-in porch and the open area to the deck. The swimming pool was large enough to fit all 10 of us. The lot is very quiet and private. The Vacation Company was very accommodating with regard to a few small issues and their effort to fix a major issue. However, when we arrived we discovered that the oven and stove did not work. We were provided with a small hot plate and a small conversion oven. There were 10 of us and this was definitely inadequate when cooking for all of us. There was a barbeque so we bought a cast iron griddle to assist us. Cooking a meal was, needless to say, a slow process. The Vacation Company did their best to try to fix this but the owner was not cooperative. They were difficult to get in touch with and didn't seem to have any urgency in rectifying the issue. The stove/oven was a model that could not be serviced by local businesses although they tried. Special parts had to be ordered and it took a long time to get any apparently needed new parts. When the parts ordered were ordered they were not all that was needed. The owner was asked to provide compensation for our inconvenience and their was response was inadequate and disappointing. We had to go out for more meals than anticipated, purchase something to try to make the situation work for us, deal with various and numerous repair people and deal with many phone calls during our 12 days of rental. This was all very intrusive during our stay. In addition the amount credited was completed without us having agreed to it. My advice would be to be wary of renting this house given the uncooperative owner.

I would say that we had one of the best stays at this house! We felt welcomed! The house itself has enough room for accommodation for 5 adults and 3 kids, very clean and we had everything we needed. Even more - we had 4 bikes included in our rental and definitely we enjoyed to have our own pool. Very nice neighborhood - close to everything! We would love to come back!

The backyard and patios were where we spent 90% of our time. Very private with no view of the neighbors, only the occasional golf cart passing by. We will be back for our next HH vacation!
