Great South Forest Beach Property
Excellent stay for our family's Spring getaway. The house was laid out well for our family, the neighborhood was nice and quiet, and beach access was an easy walk from the house.

Wonderful Home
We had 6 adults (my wife & me; our son & his wife; our daughter & her husband) so the 3 king suites were very nice, plus our 5 grandchildren (ages 3-7) so the bunk rooms were perfect! The house was VERY clean and well furnished, and made for great vacation time for all! The pool and game area made for lots of fun when weren’t on the beach! Great neighborhood with minimal traffic and no issues getting to the nice beach area! The only thing that would make it better would be to be able to see the beach from the porches, but that isn’t possible with the nice older trees in the area. The shade and the breeze made for wonderful outdoor time even with the SC heat! Great house and great company to work with! Thanks to all!

Sharpe Family Beech week

Family's first trip to HHI
This was my family's first trip to HHI, and I cannot express how amazing of a time we had and a lot is owed to this beautiful home! Every single room was cleaned perfectly (coming from a clean freak, it exceeded my expectations :)). The house was so well-equipped with bath towels, beach towels, fully stocked kitchen, linens, etc. the first floor master was absolutely perfect for my mother in law, and the upstairs could not have been more perfect for my little family (my 4 year old LOVED the bunk room). If you have little ones like I do, the pool is what sold me when I booked it. The two-tiered shallow end was absolutely perfect for my little ones to play. I love pools with shallow ends that are toddler friendly, so this captured my eye when I booked and it did not disappoint. And also a ton of sun which is key for a vacation! Being from Chicago, my kids aren't great swimmers so I also wanted a house with a pool that wasn't easily accessible. This house was it. While there are stairs that lead from the house down to the pool, it is very easy to keep the kids from going down and accessing. The location itself is amazing! I loved that it was a little bit away from the hustle and bustle on the north side and more quiet/spread out. It literally felt how a vacation should feel (especially for city people that want to get away from crowds). The beach was super easy to get to as well. Just a small stroll - you do have to cross a street but just grab a beach cart as this will make your stroll so much easier. All in all, I can't express how amazing this home is and how it just completed our very overdue vacation! Thank you vacation company for all of your help!! You were amazing to work with! We will be back!

Modern Family Beach House

Beautifully decorated vacation home
The home is beautifully decorated with lots of space. Large dining table with nice open kitchen. Lots of different areas to hang out and relax in the home. The pool and the hot tub were wonderful. The poll is bigger than it looks in the pictures. We loved having the bikes the house provided. The location was great. The house is close to the bike path and the beach. The rental company was easy to contact and helpful.

Beautiful Beach House.
Stunning home with beautiful furnishings & decor. Perfect spacious floor plan to accommodate large families. Loved the screened porch off the dining area with oversized swing bed overlooking the pool! Pool was the perfect size with nice lounging areas & lots of seating. The house was a short walk to the beach & only a 5 minute drive to Coligny Plaza. One of our best HH vacations ever!

This is a perfect house!!!
This house was awesome! We have a multigenerational family and this home was the perfect fit for all. It is the cleanest home we’ve stayed in ever and it is beautifully decorated! All of the supplies were top notch and in like new condition! They have covered everything we might need. We thoroughly enjoyed the large pool and hot tub as well as the short and beautiful walk to the beach. We found the management company helpful, informative and great to work with! 2025 Beach Renourishment Project 2025 Beach Renourishment Project

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS provided by the TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Hilton Head Island's beach is crucial to both residents and the local economy. To preserve this valuable resource, the Town has planned a beach restoration project for Summer 2025, funded primarily by tourism through the local Beach Preservation Fee.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
  • The 2025 beach renourishment is expected to be similar to the previous projects in 1990, 1997, 2006 and 2016.
  • The proposed project will include the placement of approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach compatible sand from up to four offshore borrow areas along about 46,500 ft of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  • This project is part of the Town's ongoing beach management program, with renourishment scheduled every 8 to 10 years, depending on weather and beach conditions.
  • Pine Island in Hilton Head Plantation will be included in the 2025 restoration.
SAND PLACEMENT

The proposed project will include sand placement along five areas of the island shoreline:

  1. South Beach / South Island - Approximately 750,000 cubic yards of sand along approximately 10,230 feet of the southern Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  2. Central Island - Approximately 700,000 cubic yards along 28,860 feet of Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  3. The Heel - Approximately 500,000 cubic yards of sand along 5,280 feet at the northeast point of the island at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  4. Fish Haul Creek - Approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand along about 2,130 feet of Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  5. Pine Island - Approximately 180,000 cubic yards of beach compatible sand and construction of six rock breakwaters on the Port Royal Sound shoreline of Hilton Head Plantation between Dolphin Head and Pine Island.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The nourishment sand will be excavated by hydraulic dredge from two offshore shoal features.

  • Up to 50,000 feet of pipeline will be trucked or floated to the island by way of large rafts, then moved onto the beach.
  • The pipeline will be piled in stacks along the shoreline until needed during construction.
  • During construction, many miles of pipeline will be submerged on the ocean floor between the offshore borrow sites and the beach.
  • The rest of the pipeline will be laid progressively along the newly constructed beach as the fill sand is pumped on shore.

The dredge will pump a mixture of sand and seawater through the pipeline, and will discharge it onto the beach.

  • There, it will flow parallel to the shoreline - allowing the sand to settle out and the water to return to the sea.
  • Bulldozers and other heavy construction machinery will constantly shape the sand to meet the design specifications.

Project construction is expected to last approximately six months, operating around the clock.

  • On average, the process should move along the shoreline at a rate of about 200 to 300 feet per day.
  • As the fill placement progresses, approximately 1,000 foot sections of the beach are closed temporarily to pedestrian access.
  • Several days of work activity will occur seaward of any one piece of oceanfront property in the 1,000 foot active work area along the beach.
  • Once placed and rough-graded, the new beach is immediately reopened to the public.
IMPACTS ON RESIDENTS AND VISITORS
  • Construction noise will primarily involve bulldozers shaping the sand as it is deposited.
  • Disruptions at individual properties generally last about three or four days as the renourishment operation progresses.
  • Adjacent property owners, or renters, may experience short-term minor inconveniences.
