Dolphin Head - Hilton Head Island

A Gary Player design, it was Player's first course in the Hilton Head area and was open for play in 1974, making it Hilton Head Plantation's first golf course. The layout offers players of all skill levels an exceptional and challenging golf experience.

While the golf course is the main attraction, it is the lasting friendships that make Dolphin Head Golf Club so special. Player's main goal with the construction of the course was to live as many natural features as possible and to use very little landfill to help create a natural look to the golf course. The surrounding natural preserves and the local wildlife were not interrupted as Player tried to create harmony between man and nature, and the result is a very playable and scenic golf course that has become a local favorite.

Palmetto Hall Plantation's Arthur Hills Course

Opened in 1991, this Arthur Hills course was named a classic by Golf Digest Magazine, which rated it among America’s Top 10 New Courses.  Heavily wooded with towering pines and moss-draped oaks, the lush fairways roll past crystalline lakes.  Protected greens, edged with bunkers provide golfers with challenges, while the signature par-4 18th hole offers a daunting finish to a spectacular game.

Palmetto Hall Plantation's Robert Cupp Course

The Robert Cupp course is a stunningly original design that tests the better player but accommodates higher handicappers as well. Cupp, Golf World’s former Architect of the Year, opened his signature course at Palmetto Hall in 1993, and the course continues to draw high praise for its flexibility, sound shot values, and impeccable year-round condition.

Self-described as unique, innovative and eminently playable, the Robert Cupp Course redefines conventional golf course architecture; the original course design was created by a computer. The result?  Straight lines, sharp angles, and unusual shapes.

The bold design of the Robert Cupp Course at Palmetto Hall nonetheless provides refreshingly new and great fun for golfers of various skill levels. Year after year, the semi-private course continues to draw in high praise for its extreme flexibility and sound-shot value.
