This beach home has so much potential but it desperately needs a refresh! We got to inherit someone else’s home maintenance issues on our 3 week getaway. You would think that a vacation rental company would be proactive instead of reactive. I would not recommend this home. It’s beautiful and close to the beach but prepare to pay top dollar and be plaque’d with projects on your vacation. Horrible rotting fish smell upon arrival. No one emptied the full trash compactor. the bag was stuck. Handyman came and only turned on the air filter. My husband had to get covered in trash to get smell and stuck bag out. No TP or paper products upon arrival. Ridiculous after an 8 hour car ride. Had to buy blankets at Belk. Not only was the quilt stained and had holes it had weird yellow substance hanging from the inside near my face, Washed it myself!! It was so cold in this house. Needs HVAC unit reworked for master bedroom and new windows! We’ve been wearing a wool base layer for 3 weeks because the house is so drafty. The home could use a deep clean. Spider in the corners and dirty behind the furniture. Holes in quilts and so many holes on the couch and in the couch pillows. Washer needed repair the first week. 2nd reason we had to buy blankets, couldn’t wash the dirty comforter. Front door digital key needed a new battery. Ice maker in the main fridge doesn’t work. Had to make ice in second fridge and dump it into main frig. My husband had to fix the vacuum cleaner that had no suction and clean the filter as it smelled like stinky dog. The toaster only works on one side. Large leak in outdoor hose connection. Pool also had a leak so water had to be added regularly. the pool guy cleaned and was great for two weeks, he forgot about us the week of Christmas. The only week we heated the pool and used it. We had people at the house every day and many times twice a day. Guest bedroom toilet running, had to turn it off every night so we could sleep. It was loud. SLOW internet, TV freezes due to slow internet regularly. Websites take a long time to load. My husband is working in the mornings and it’s frustrating. We spent the morning with the Spectrum TV repair guy. Garbage disposal is very slow to drain and would stop up easily. Started putting food into the trash instead. One annoyance after another…….

Location was excellent. We had some challenges with the pool and air conditioning. Property management was very responsive. The furniture and rugs are worn and torn which I would not expect. Nice size kitchen with multiple tables, pantry/bar areas. Comfy beds. Easy walk to beach. Pool is nice size. Access to bikes, rafts, pools towels a bonus.

There were 10 of us who stayed in the house and it was perfect. Kitchen, Dining, and Butlers Pantry were huge! The 10 of us all slept well in beds. There are 2 pull out sofas, but we did not need them. The only thing is that the one in the upstairs bedroom seemed like it would be a super tight squeeze if it were pulled out. The pool area was nice and the walk to the beach was easy. We did not take pets, but the area is fully enclosed if you were to bring a dog. We paid to heat the spa and it worked great. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week vacation.

We have been coming to Hilton Head Island for over 30 years. Our kids are older now, but this is still their favorite vacation destination to spend time together as a family. We loved this property!! Sea Pines is by far our favorite place to stay as there is so much to fill your days whether it be biking to South Beach, visiting the stables, enjoying the beach, grabbing a drink at the beach club or walking around Harbourtown. This property was everything advertised and more. It's a beautiful home a short distance from the beach. The location is perfect for beach goers as it's a quick and easy walk up the beach path to catch the sunrise, go for a walk or enjoy the beach for the entire day. The backyard pool is lovely and refreshing and the hot tub spa was the perfect way to relax at the end of the day. The home is beautifully decorated, clean and spacious! The bedrooms are large, clean, and decorated with that beachy feel. The bathrooms are clean and spacious and I loved the shower jets in the master baths!! Our favorite room was the screened in porch where we would gather for morning coffee and listen to the sounds of nature that are part of why we love Hilton Head so much. You can even hear the ocean waves especially from the front porch! We had a great week in Hilton Head and absolutely loved spending the week at his beautiful home!! Highly recommend!! Had a great vacation with 2 other families in this house. Convenient that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. Loved the 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything you need. Great location to the beach and we really enjoyed Sea Pines as it was less crowded on the beach than other parts of HIlton Head. Pool was perfect and house was very clean.

We were very lucky and thankful this property recently started offering rentals. We booked late and only had a few options available until this one surfaced. Don't let lack of reviews scare you away, the rental company was easy to contact and very helpful. Bedrooms all have their own bathrooms which was key. Short walk to a very quiet beach area. Easy bike rides to Coligny or Harbour Town. Pool and Jacuzze were great. Brand new grill and two kitchens to satisfy all your baking needs. Also had a bunch of beach chairs for use. Look forward to booking next year.

Great property very close to beach and all biking trails. All rooms & bathrooms were very clean & well appointed. Owners were quick to remedy the TV issue when the great room unit needed replaced. Trail to beach access path was a bit tricky and could be simplifies but neighbor buy-in may be needed.

This house is amazing! Our family had a wonderful time w ample space (each individual couple had their own private bathroom). Loved the screened in porch, pool and spacious chef’s kitchen. Although many bedrooms have big jacuzzi tubs, there is definitely not enough hot water to accommodate that, but we didn’t go on vacation to take baths! Additionally, the ac wasn’t working in two rooms the first night, but the property manager was quick to get someone in for a speedy repair w/in hours of our call, and set it up so that we were not responsible for being on sight during the work. We loved that the place was dog friendly. The dog goody bag was a happy surprise for our pooch. The beach is very close—and we walked up and back easily countless times throughout the days and week. Hilton Head is paradise -or what I imagine paradise to be. Living seconds from the beach in a big, beautiful house w all the comforts of home is living in paradise. Relaxing w family in this house on the island was a dream - one we will strive to repeat each summer if possible. Great Rental! Thanx Vacation Company-you we’re awesome!

Our family of 5 adults and 2 dogs stayed here in mid May. This is a beautiful spacious home in a peaceful tree adorned neighborhood. The pool area and the large screened porch were our favorites, but the entire home is great. Bedrooms were beautiful and comfy. The neighboorhood is quiet but alive with all ages biking. Love of native sea turtles and their protection is heartwarming. And dogs are welcomed and celebrated most everywhere. The beach was an easy 2 min walk. The pool and spa were delightful. We were surprised by the lack of a railing at the entry and the steps that were so deep maybe 15 inches. Someone with a disability or weak legs or bad knees will find difficulty getting in or out of the pool. We were able to manage with an aerobic stepper weighted down with a few bricks to reduce the step height by half. And we positioned a pool lounger and high bar stool at the side of the pool deck to function as a railing of sorts. Backing down the steps to get in and placing hands on deck of pool to get out helped. Not a graceful image but l will do just about anything to get into a pool. Haha. Parents be aware too that the steps enter into the deeper end of the pool and there really is no shallow end per se. Spa is lovely but even more of a challenge for a handicapped person. If you purchase pool heat be advised that the water level must be high enough to spill over from the spa into the pool for the heating feature to function...ie the spa heats itself and the pool.

The house was spacious, very clean and very well maintained and less than 2 min walk to the beach. The property management firm was also extremely responsive. Kitchen could use some cookware, platters/bowls and serving utensils for large groups. We will book this property again.

Screened in porch overlooking the pool had a TV and gas fireplace. We spent most “indoor” time here and loved it! We did have difficulty operating the pool/spa and having it heat and filter properly. This was the perfect spot for my family to reunite. The beach path was super close and only a short 5 minute walk to the beach itself. Loved the fact that the beach was private. There was hardly anyone else on the beach during our stay. The managing company was also super helpful and extremely quick to respond to any questions we had. Also, the check in/check out process couldn't have been easier. We definitely plan on booking this property again in the future!

There were even some fun toys in the garage for the kids to play with at the beach and the 4 bikes were a plus. The downside is location. This house is NOT on the beach path. You have to walk though a neighbors yard, and than about 5 mins to the water. Also this path seems to be the one that inland folk drive up to with there cars and trucks and drop off their people to basically camp on the beach all day. We’ve stayed all over (always on a path) and never had to be around this many people when at the actual ocean. People also ride their bikes up in groups of 10! We would get to the beach and have to walk up and down (5-10 mins) to just find a spot safely distance from others! I run on the beach and once you got away from our beach path (26) there were clearly only a few scattered people who were staying right there on those paths. For this we will never stay at the house again. When we pay 1000+ per night we want the feel of a private beach and this place doesn’t have that even a little. Which is sad because the house was perfect. If you don’t mind being with the masses (like when you stay near the sea pines club) than all this may both bother you. But I wanted my review to give people a good picture of where exactly they are staying.
