Beautiful hardwood flooring in the living room, quartz countertops in the kitchen, and coastal chic furniture are just a few of the upgrades. The bathrooms have been completely redesigned with custom tile, quartz vanities, and new light fixtures. All the bedrooms have flat-panel TVs, and the living room is outfitted with a 60-inch flat-panel TV. Natural light radiates into the living room, making this the perfect spot to relax indoors. The dining room adjacent to the kitchen has seating for 6 and a breakfast bar with 5 comfortable bar stools. Access to the large deck is just off the living room, offering additional dining space. Located on the main living level is the king master suite with a private bath. The master bathroom is outfitted with a gorgeous custom tile walk-in shower. The queen suite on this level has a private bath with a shower/tub combo. An additional master bedroom with a private bath is on the 2nd floor.

Great Location, Well Appointed!
This house was perfect for our family. The location is great, very secluded and quiet, but still near everything. Great beach access across the street. The heated pool is the perfect size. The house is very well appointed with new appliances, grill, etc and the living room TV is awesome! It was perfect for our families.

Lovely Respite
My husband and I spent a perfect week with perfect weather in HH. Most of the tourists were gone for the season and we were able to walk to the beach in under four minutes. The house could use some TLC in one of the rooms but it was very clean and well appointed and comfortable. We were very impressed with The Vacation Company as they made the experience seamless. I would also like to thank the owners who donated a week at their home to Children’s Flight of Hope. We attended a fundraising soirée last year and bid for the week in an auction. Thank you for your support for this very special non profit.

The previous review was accurate. We also have rented this property 3 to 4 times and have seen a deterioration in the property. The exterior of the home needs a power washing and a coat of paint at the least. There are dead bugs and insect pods all over the walls. The sliding glass doors are dingy. The pool has mold along the sides. The downstairs back room bathtub still does not drain adequately. There are loose boards going down to the pool and on the front steps. One of which came off entirely as I walked down the steps. Hopefully the ower can perform much needed maintenance and restore this property.

Nice Location Needs Updates
We’ve stayed at this vacation house last year and returned because the size fits our needs, excellent location, just a short walk to the beach and in a great area for biking. However, we were disappointed to find that the condition of the home has noticeably declined since our last stay just a year ago, with no improvements or upgrades and yet a 10.5% increase in the rental price. The lower master bedroom had a musty, moldy smell, the carpet was dirty and sticky, and the mattress was worn and uncomfortable. Several maintenance issues stood out: the door from the laundry room to the garage doesn’t close due to a broken doorknob, and we found a cockroach in the laundry area. The queen master shower drains slowly, the half bath toilet runs, and the outlet by the pool doesn’t work. The outdoor grill’s ignition doesn’t function. The kitchen supplies are in need of updates—many of the plastic plates are heavily worn with knife cuts and discoloration, and there’s a lack of drinking glasses. Details like this add up, especially when prices are increasing. One additional issue was the timing of the pool service. The cleaner arrived midday while we were using the pool and we all had to get out. We understand the need for upkeep, but it would be more considerate to schedule maintenance at the transition between rental periods or at least in the morning before most guests are outside. Overall, the location is still a major plus, but the condition of the home and lack of upkeep were disappointing, especially at this price point

Great house and great rental company
This house is great with all the amenities you could want and easy access to the beach. We loved the bikes on site and the front porch that is always in the shade with a nice breeze off of the beach. We were having a great week until the hot water heater went out on Thursday. Fortunately the vacation company responded quickly, had a new hot water heater installed and made sure we were taken care of with minimal impact on our vacation. I will definitely rent from the vacation company again.

My wife and I brought our two kids and their spouses back to HHI after an eleven year hiatus. HHI is just as perfect for a family to get away and enjoy time together. As for this property, everything from the location(1 row off beach)to the pool and outdoor sitting areas, it was all amazing. The interior of the house is nicely decorated and maintained. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was well laid out and easy to interact with. The rooms are well furnished. We loved having bikes that we could ride out onto the beach along the sand. It might’ve been nice to have a couple of cooking necessities like a bottle of oil, salt and pepper, but the stores are nearby. The people at Vacation Rentals management company treated us very well and we’re very responsive. I would highly recommend this home for vacation.

Start date for Hilton Head Island Beach Renourishment
Project-Phase 1 shifts to mid-August

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (January 14, 2026) Marinex Construction will begin mobilizing at Fish Haul Beach Park as part of the Town of Hilton Head Island’s beach renourishment project in mid-August. Marinex updated the new start date due to adverse weather and marine conditions affecting the transfer of materials and equipment from a site off the Florida Atlantic coast.

Originally, Marinex was scheduled to start construction at Fish Haul Beach Park off Mitchelville Road on Aug. 6. Instead, mobilization is now scheduled to take place from about Aug. 13 to Sept. 1. Active beach renourishment construction is anticipated to start during the week of Sept. 2 and be completed by the week of Sept. 15 at Fish Haul. It is anticipated that Fish Haul Beach will be closed to the public for approximately five days in early September when the beach fill begins.

This is a 24/7 project.

Despite this temporary delay, survey and pre-construction activities are ongoing, and the project team remains on track to complete the renourishment work in accordance with the contract schedule windows. "As with any project of this magnitude, we anticipate that changes may arise due to various factors. We encourage the public to stay connected with us through social media and our website for any updates regarding the beach renourishment project," said Jeff Netzinger, Director of Engineering and Public Projects for the Town.

The beach renourishment project will occur in three phases, with an anticipated completion date of May 2026. The new anticipated schedule is as follows:

  • Phase 1 - Port Royal (the Heel), Fish Haul and Pine Island
    • Complete - Contractor mobilizes in August 2025.
    • Complete - Weeks of August 13, 2025 thru September 17, 2025 - Fish Haul area
    • Complete - Weeks of September 18, 2025 thru October 10, 2025 - Pine Island
    • Complete - Weeks of October 11, 2025 thru October 17, 2025 - Port Royal (The Heel)
  • Phase 2 - Central Island, South Island and South Beach
    • Weeks of December 11, 2025 thru March 28, 2026 - Central Island, including beach areas along Palmetto Dunes
    • Weeks of March 28, 2026 thru May 31, 2026 - South Island and South Beach areas .
  • Phase 3 - Pine Island Breakwater Structures
    • Weeks of November 1, 2025 thru April 30, 2026

“It’s a priority to preserve, protect and cherish our beaches – one of our greatest assets. Our Island depends on their ongoing vitality. The Town’s role is to carry out the community’s collective dedication to this environmental core value through our investment in restoration and maintenance,” said Mayor Alan Perry. “And fortunately, due to the foresight of Town leaders before us and thanks to our millions of visitors, this project is funded through our beach preservation fund and capital improvement program.”


Beach renourishment is a moving work zone that typically progresses at about 1,000 feet per section-just 2% of the Island’s total beach area. On average, only 300 feet of beach will be impacted per day. Temporary beach access ramps and clear signage will help direct beachgoers safely around active work areas to open areas of the beach. As soon as an active site is completed, the equipment will move down the beach and the newly renourished section will open.

Special protection has been made for wildlife that may be impacted because of the project. All work will be supervised by consultant teams under contract to monitor sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Additionally, per a requirement of the beach renourishment permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Town amended its municipal code to restrict animal/dog activity in an area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek beach park. This requirement protects endangered shorebird species that migrate and nest there. Signage is posted and no other beach areas will be affected. Dogs are still allowed per the Town’s seasonal rules – only a small section of the creek area adjacent to the beach park is restricted.

Marinex Construction, Inc., the contractor for the project, began mobilizing equipment this month in preparation for the work. This includes positioning their offshore barges and staging miles of steel pipes to pump sand from ocean shoals back to beaches. Crews will be working around the clock daily.

The beach renourishment process helps to:
