A wonderful beach property
House is totally remodeled with high-end furnishings. A large glassed family room, huge kitchen and screened porch. 5 bedrooms were nice with baths. Pool and deck area are large. We enjoyed table tennis in the garage. Beach is very close. Lovely property.

Very Accomodating
We vacationed with 3 families total and the property was very accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The proximity to the beach was key with having many small children. The ensuite bathrooms were great as well. Having the beach towels was a nice addition as we quickly went though the ones we brought. The pool layout was nice. The kids really enjoyed the pool while we were at the house. The screened in porch was lovely as well. All in all. we had a great week and would definitely choose 5 Robin Street again.

5 Robin Street - Our Family Enjoyed every moment
Staying in this beautiful home on Robin Street in Hilton Head. Clean, relaxing and attention to all the little details. Just steps from the beach! We even watched a Loggerhead sea turtle lay her eggs on the beach! Best place we've stayed during a beach vacation. Would highly recommend

The house and location were amazing. Plenty of room for 8 adults and 5 children under the age of 3! The large living area, kitchen and outdoor pool area were perfect for our family! A 3 minute walk to the beach where there was plenty of room to spread out and play in the sand made this a wonderful choice for us!

Warm, Welcoming Home - Ideal for a Family!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at 5 Robin! We have historically stayed 1st row, so weren't sure how we'd feel about 3rd row. Turns out, it was awesome. The walk to the ocean was really only 30-60 seconds longer than it had been when we were 1st row. The house was impeccably decorated, yet not in a way that had me following my kids around saying "hands off!". The location was perfect for daily rides up to the Frozen Moo. The layout was ideal for our family - we each had the privacy of our own bedroom, with lots of communal space as well. And the pool was the icing on the cake - definitely bigger than it looks in pictures! What a fun week we had, going back and forth between the beach, the pool and ice cream. We will be back - to Hilton Head and 5 Robin! - for sure!

exceptional beach rental
This beach home was absolutely wonderful. It provided anything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and other utensils -no need to bring anything from home. The pool area gave us hours of enjoyment with grandchildren and relaxed grilling of several meals. After 20 some years of Hilton Head rentals my family rated this the best ever. They didn't want to leave. Back nest year

Gorgeous house & pool so close to the beach
The place is crazy beautiful with the perfect coastal accents. Not a detail was overlooked decorating this place. Every comfort of home was at your fingertips. There were plenty of towels in every room. They even had beach towels folded by the 1/2 bathroom (bathroom housed the washer/dryer and had poolside and interior entries). Things I would find helpful: -fully equipped kitchen with baking trays, bowl, pitchers, blender, knife block, coffee pot (an abundance of coffee filters in the cabinet), salt and pepper, cooking oil and we left behind vinegar and garbage bags. (fyi if you are going soon). -there is one brand new iron and full size ironing board -they had toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap in bathrooms, garbage bags & laundry detergent and dish detergent to get you started. -there was a mini wine fridge/ beverage fridge built into the kitchen island which was so nice for drinks so most of the fridge could be stocked with food. Ice maker is typical and you will need to buy ice for coolers but we had enough to make frozen drinks and chill beverages. -storage under the deck with pool noodles, an extra umbrella, 2 beach chairs and we left behind sand toys we purchased while there. - There is an outdoor TV by the grill - bunk room is a twin on top and a full on the bottom but they seemed large. We had all girls. 12,10,7,5, &5 and we brought 2 small cots (only needed one) and they all fit in that room. Surprisingly this room was also larger than what the pictures showed. We could fit 2 kids up top easy or all 3 little ones short ways up top. The bottom bunk the older ones could even fit laying short ways with a little one between them. It was surprisingly spacious. There was plenty of room for a fold out bed and pack and play in the upstairs bedroom by the bunk room if needed too. I know there are plenty of great places to eat but we found a tiny little beachy place tucked away by the ocean called CoCo's. We will definitely be going back there! Google it, half the fun is finding it :) I hope you find this helpful. Ya know how they say you get what you pay for... well this place was worth every bit of it. Enjoy!

Beautiful vacation home, steps from the ocean
We loved this house, and had such a wonderful vacation home. We traveled with my parents, single brother, and toddler daughter. The home seems freshly updated, with lots of thought and care put into the furnishings and layout. The kitchen was well stocked, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality cookware. We love to cook, and travel with favorite kitchen knives and other specialty cookware, but it was almost unnecessary here since there was enough in the kitchen. The setup was wonderful too, with plenty of counter space for everyone to pitch in, or prepare their own meals without stepping on each other. The table had plenty of seating, and the bench on one side of the table would be perfect for accommodating extra little kids if necessary. Our daughter loved having her breakfast at the kitchen counter too. We were also able to grill, since there was a little outdoor kitchen area with a built in gas grill. We loved the large, comfortable family room, for reading in the afternoons and movies in the evenings. There was adequate seating for everyone, and it was easy to settle into. The upstairs rooms were perfect for my husband and I, and our daughter, since they were secluded enough from the rest of the house that she could nap well without being disturbed, and likewise wake early without disturbing others. My parents and brother were equally pleased with their rooms and bathroom setups, and everything just seemed fresh and updated. The pool was the perfect setup, since you can see every inch of it from the kitchen, and it was the perfect size for our daughter to splash around safely, with seats or steps in three areas that were "landing zones" for her. There was also great deck seating, so everyone could get into or out of the sun as needed, with chaise lounges, Adirondack chairs on a front porch overlooking the street, and a little cafe table near the pool for lunch breaks. We have been to Hilton Head MANY times, and have never stayed in the same place twice, but this house was so wonderful we're hoping to return later this year.

Beach Renourishment Project (Fall 2025 - Spring 2026) Beach Renourishment Project
Town of Hilton Head Island Beach
Renourishment Project

Overall schedule updates, temporary closure of
Fish Haul Beach Park announced

Updated as of JANUARY 14, 2026

Start date for Hilton Head Island Beach Renourishment
Project-Phase 1 shifts to mid-August

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (January 14, 2026) Marinex Construction will begin mobilizing at Fish Haul Beach Park as part of the Town of Hilton Head Island’s beach renourishment project in mid-August. Marinex updated the new start date due to adverse weather and marine conditions affecting the transfer of materials and equipment from a site off the Florida Atlantic coast.

Originally, Marinex was scheduled to start construction at Fish Haul Beach Park off Mitchelville Road on Aug. 6. Instead, mobilization is now scheduled to take place from about Aug. 13 to Sept. 1. Active beach renourishment construction is anticipated to start during the week of Sept. 2 and be completed by the week of Sept. 15 at Fish Haul. It is anticipated that Fish Haul Beach will be closed to the public for approximately five days in early September when the beach fill begins.

This is a 24/7 project.

Despite this temporary delay, survey and pre-construction activities are ongoing, and the project team remains on track to complete the renourishment work in accordance with the contract schedule windows. "As with any project of this magnitude, we anticipate that changes may arise due to various factors. We encourage the public to stay connected with us through social media and our website for any updates regarding the beach renourishment project," said Jeff Netzinger, Director of Engineering and Public Projects for the Town.

The beach renourishment project will occur in three phases, with an anticipated completion date of May 2026. The new anticipated schedule is as follows:

  • Phase 1 - Port Royal (the Heel), Fish Haul and Pine Island
    • Complete - Contractor mobilizes in August 2025.
    • Complete - Weeks of August 13, 2025 thru September 17, 2025 - Fish Haul area
    • Complete - Weeks of September 18, 2025 thru October 10, 2025 - Pine Island
    • Complete - Weeks of October 11, 2025 thru October 17, 2025 - Port Royal (The Heel)
  • Phase 2 - Central Island, South Island and South Beach
    • Weeks of December 11, 2025 thru March 28, 2026 - Central Island, including beach areas along Palmetto Dunes
    • Weeks of March 28, 2026 thru May 31, 2026 - South Island and South Beach areas .
  • Phase 3 - Pine Island Breakwater Structures
    • Weeks of November 1, 2025 thru April 30, 2026

As there are many factors that can impact the project schedule, particularly weather and marine conditions, the public is encouraged to stay updated on the project’s progress—including location schedules, an interactive map, photos, FAQs, and more. More information can be found as follows:

The Town’s role is to carry out the community’s collective dedication to this environmental core value through our investment in restoration and maintenance,” said Mayor Alan Perry. “And fortunately, due to the foresight of Town leaders before us and thanks to our millions of visitors, this project is funded through our beach preservation fund and capital improvement program.”

Beach renourishment is a moving work zone that typically progresses at about 1,000 feet per section-just 2% of the Island’s total beach area. On average, only 300 feet of beach will be impacted per day. Temporary beach access ramps and clear signage will help direct beachgoers safely around active work areas to open areas of the beach. As soon as an active site is completed, the equipment will move down the beach and the newly renourished section will open.

Special protection has been made for wildlife that may be impacted because of the project. All work will be supervised by consultant teams under contract to monitor sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Additionally, per a requirement of the beach renourishment permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Town amended its municipal code to restrict animal/dog activity in an area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek beach park. This requirement protects endangered shorebird species that migrate and nest there. Signage is posted and no other beach areas will be affected. Dogs are still allowed per the Town’s seasonal rules – only a small section of the creek area adjacent to the beach park is restricted.

Marinex Construction, Inc., the contractor for the project, began mobilizing equipment this month in preparation for the work. This includes positioning their offshore barges and staging miles of steel pipes to pump sand from ocean shoals back to beaches. Crews will be working around the clock daily.

The beach renourishment process helps to:

  • Preserve a healthy shoreline ecosystem for wildlife such as sea turtles and shorebirds.
  • Protect beachfront properties and infrastructure from storms.
  • Provide wider, more enjoyable beaches for residents and visitors alike.
