Thanksgiving vacation
The property is lovely and the heated pool and spa were just perfect. We had a couple of small issues and the property people were prompt and all was fixed. I would recommend this place for family getaways and adult getaways.

Our Favorite!
Can't say enough about this wonderful place! I start smiling the minute we go through the gate at Sea Pines. The house and landscape are both gorgeous and immaculate! Easy bike rides to all of the fun spots around Sea Pines and even outside the gate. We have been coming to HHI for years and have stayed in many places around the island. This is by far our favorite spot!

Family trip
Our stay on Baynard was great. The house looks exactly like the pictures. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We had a couple of small issues and it took a little bit for the vacation company to get back to us but they did email to apologize they were short staffed on Memorial Day weekend. Overall we loved this house and would recommend it to people travelling and staying in Sea Pines.

1st class property
Have stayed at this property before and can say that it never disappoints. It's a wonderful place to stay,great location and well maintained. The kitchen is very well equipped and all appliances are in excellent condition and working condition. We love staying at this property. Have stayed at a lot of different places in HHI but this is our favorite by far. You will not be disappointed!

Wonderful place to vacation
My family and I were very impressed with the house and amenities. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. Great neighborhood and lots of room in the house. Highly recommend this spot for vacation.

Picture Perfect
My husband and I didn't want to leave. We had the best time. Couldn't ask for better accommodations, the house was pristine, decorated beautifully and had everything we needed including bikes, beach chairs. Having your private pool and hot tub was a plus. You didn't have to leave Sea Pines, a few minutes to the beach, shopping and restaurants what else do you need. We will definitely book it again!

Great stay in Sea Pines
Our family of 8 (6 adults, 5 year old & 1 year old) stayed here for a week. The home had plenty of space for everyone. The pool was large compared to most HHI homes and the yard was extremely private. House is located next to the bike path and was a 5 minute bike ride to the beach. The house was very well stocked with kitchen items and linens. We had an issue upon check in but the rental company was very responsive and resolved things ASAP. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Home
The house was very nice. Kitchen was very well stocked. Took some of my pots and pans with me but didn't even need them. The screened in porch was so nice to just relax and read in. The pool is a good size. The only issues with it were that the property is surrounded by trees and it is hard to keep the pine needles out of the pool. There is a pool service that comes but you will have to dip it out in between them coming. Also debris comes off the roof when windy and down into the pool. My husband cleaned it out for us everyday though. No big deal. We were there in October and the pool was pretty cold. You could pay to get it heated but that was almost $600 and I couldn't see spending that much! I think that is too much but because I didn't pay for it, we didn't get to use the pool very much. It is up in the afternoon before the sun gets on it. I would recommend this house. Plenty of room and very pretty.

Great location love the screened in porch
We had a great time. House was well equipped and the checkin process was seamless. Pool and hot tub were great. Hot tub took a minute to figure out in that button labels were different then image. It has everything we wanted and great location. A lot of privacy in back and a bike ride away to everything. Very spacious loved the outside screened in porch with TV.

Great house!
We really enjoyed our time in this home and especially enjoyed the screen porch and pool. The price for heating the hot tub seemed overboard so we declined but would have enjoyed using it. Getting to the beach with 2 kids was a challenge but beautiful once there!

Beautiful property
I rented this property for a birthday getaway. I traveled with 5 friends and we all had enough room to move around without running into each other. A little issue with the pool pump but it was quickly corrected and the property manager was very accommodating. Overall I was very please and I definitely plan on being a repeat renter.

50th Anniversary Celebration Cottage
Well appointed home centrally located in Heritage Woods. Close to bike path that was 1/2 mile to the beach. Everything you need for a perfect day at the beach (bikes, umbrellas, towels). Nice sized pool right off the lovely screened porch. Kitchen had plenty of supplies for cooking. Internet not ideal for WFH (maybe that was a sign we shouldn’t be working?).

Great Location Bike everywhere nice pool

2025 Beach Renourishment Project 2025 Beach Renourishment Project

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS provided by the TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Hilton Head Island's beach is crucial to both residents and the local economy. To preserve this valuable resource, the Town has planned a beach restoration project for Summer 2025, funded primarily by tourism through the local Beach Preservation Fee.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
  • The 2025 beach renourishment is expected to be similar to the previous projects in 1990, 1997, 2006 and 2016.
  • The proposed project will include the placement of approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach compatible sand from up to four offshore borrow areas along about 46,500 ft of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  • This project is part of the Town's ongoing beach management program, with renourishment scheduled every 8 to 10 years, depending on weather and beach conditions.
  • Pine Island in Hilton Head Plantation will be included in the 2025 restoration.
SAND PLACEMENT

The proposed project will include sand placement along five areas of the island shoreline:

  1. South Beach / South Island - Approximately 750,000 cubic yards of sand along approximately 10,230 feet of the southern Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  2. Central Island - Approximately 700,000 cubic yards along 28,860 feet of Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  3. The Heel - Approximately 500,000 cubic yards of sand along 5,280 feet at the northeast point of the island at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  4. Fish Haul Creek - Approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand along about 2,130 feet of Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  5. Pine Island - Approximately 180,000 cubic yards of beach compatible sand and construction of six rock breakwaters on the Port Royal Sound shoreline of Hilton Head Plantation between Dolphin Head and Pine Island.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The nourishment sand will be excavated by hydraulic dredge from two offshore shoal features.

  • Up to 50,000 feet of pipeline will be trucked or floated to the island by way of large rafts, then moved onto the beach.
  • The pipeline will be piled in stacks along the shoreline until needed during construction.
  • During construction, many miles of pipeline will be submerged on the ocean floor between the offshore borrow sites and the beach.
  • The rest of the pipeline will be laid progressively along the newly constructed beach as the fill sand is pumped on shore.

The dredge will pump a mixture of sand and seawater through the pipeline, and will discharge it onto the beach.

  • There, it will flow parallel to the shoreline - allowing the sand to settle out and the water to return to the sea.
  • Bulldozers and other heavy construction machinery will constantly shape the sand to meet the design specifications.

Project construction is expected to last approximately six months, operating around the clock.

  • On average, the process should move along the shoreline at a rate of about 200 to 300 feet per day.
  • As the fill placement progresses, approximately 1,000 foot sections of the beach are closed temporarily to pedestrian access.
  • Several days of work activity will occur seaward of any one piece of oceanfront property in the 1,000 foot active work area along the beach.
  • Once placed and rough-graded, the new beach is immediately reopened to the public.
IMPACTS ON RESIDENTS AND VISITORS
  • Construction noise will primarily involve bulldozers shaping the sand as it is deposited.
  • Disruptions at individual properties generally last about three or four days as the renourishment operation progresses.
  • Adjacent property owners, or renters, may experience short-term minor inconveniences.
