Let me clarify – – quantitative answers are not helpful. The house was beautiful and functioned fabulously, and the pool was excellent, particularly given the young ages of my grandchildren and the shallowness of a lot of the pool made things a lot safer and more fun for them. Unfortunate that the ocean was infested with jellyfish, and it was incredibly hot on the sand, so that part of our experience was greatly curtail, but that’s not the fault of the house the only problems I had with the house were one both dishwashers did not work and I did indicate that it wasn’t serious to get the second one going, but they said they were gonna send someone in and they never did too because I’m an idiot. I couldn’t figure out how to properly turn on the shower in the bathroom, closest to the main entranceway and they spent two days actually three waiting for someone to come in and show me what an idiot I was. I just thought it was a problem with cold water. Three the bed in that room is incredibly soft with one of those mattress covers that add softness to it and that coupled with the kind of sheets that aren’t crisp I felt that I was sleeping in a mess of wrinkles and humps and by the fourth day my back was killing me. It’s just too soft for me. Also, we didn’t request it and we were fine without it but often in our stays, someone comes in midweek to clean the pool and just sort of clean around the house a little bit that was not done as I said it was not really needed .

This is a beautiful house that easily accommodated our family of 15. The setting on the beach, with our own private access, was perfect, even with small children to take down there. We spent most of our time in the pool or at the beach (7 kids with us) and this home had ample pool toys for us to enjoy. In addition, the four bicycles and ping pong table gave us more outdoor activities that were right there on the property. The house itself is decorated beautifully, and with a very tall family, the three king bedrooms (plus the four others!) were a huge plus. We found the kitchen to be extremely well stocked with everything we could possibly need (except that we never found hot pads!). One of the two downstairs dishwashers didn’t work and while the plumber came over right away, it couldn’t be fixed. We used the upstairs one instead, as needed. We also found the elevator to be extremely helpful. The house is also close to Coligny plaza shops and restaurants. Altogether, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

We stayed in this home with all of our family (Grandparents, their children and spouses, grandchildren and one great-grand child). It was very accommodating. The pool area and proximity to the beach were un-matched to anywhere else we have stayed. We had plenty of parking for all of our cars (and at one time there were 9). Plenty of towels, beach towels and beds/bedding were more than adequate. Also a good selection of cookware and utensils. Only a couple minor inconveniences worth mentioning 1) the dining table is very sticky and needs refinished 2) the walkway to the beach is narrow and a bit of a hill which was only a problem for the grandmother in our group - she was not comfortable walking down to the beach and thought she would be able to, based on the website photos and 3) the upstairs coffee pot does not have the correct lid, so in order to brew coffee, we had to hold the handle of the pot or prop it up so that the coffee would brew. All very minor and I'm only mentioning so that the next renters have good information. You can't always see what included in the description or photos, so there are 2 full-sized coffee pots, one keuring, a toaster, toaster oven and blender.

The home was very comfortable for our 3 teenagers and 9 adults. Everyone was very happy about the proximity of the beach and the size of the pool. The porch’s rocking chairs were a hit with everyone. The expansive view of the ocean was wonderful. The bedroom suites were lovely and practical for our group. We had a minor problem with the dishwasher and Vacation Co. was responsive by sending a tech immediately, a toilet seat was replaced, as well as a light bulb in a shower. The living area is comfortable and the kids had several card games at the table on the upper level. We would have liked a larger dining room table and the kitchen counters need to be resealed. The location turned out to be very convenient for a short walk to Coligny. We had stayed in Sea Pines for a number of years and still made a couple of visits this year. The beach area was never overcrowded which was a concern. We will definitely come back to this home!

The house was amazing and well stocked. Can’t beat the views and we appreciated all the rocking chairs on the porch. My biggest complaint is it should never be advertised as a 7 bedroom. The “peach” bedroom downstairs had no lock on the door! Best we could tell it was not hooked up to the HVAC system. No vents in the room which meant it had no circulation and was unbearably hot. Also, for some reason the code to the house was turned off at 8:45AM Saturday while we were packing up. Luckily someone was in the house but the elevator shut down as we were loading the cars for departure. Very inconvenient.

We stayed at 57 Dune Lane for a week with our family and had so much fun! Everything about the home was exactly what our group of 11 needed. We had two small children and they loved playing on the beach and in the pool. The Vacation Company was extremely responsive to all of our questions or needs - even after hours. We are in the process of planning our next trip back to Hilton Head with TVC!

If I could rate this 6 stars I would. I rented this house for my family to all meet here for Thanksgiving, and I'm so glad that I did. The house was perfect! We had a few VERY MINOR issues, but Vacation Company was prompt with sending someone out to help with that. Everyone I spoke to was so pleasant! The views of the beach, sunrise and sunset are just spectacular. Multiple times throughout my stay I verbally muttered to myself "This is a house I'll miss". I don't know what else I can say beyond that. I will be back.

This is a wonderful property. So much space, stunning views. Our group enjoyed the pool, spa, walks on the beach.The location is fantastic. A short walk down a beautiful path to shopping and dining at Coligny Plaza. We all agreed it was perfect!

The house was great for a large family of seniors, adults, teens and small kids. Lots of common area spaces to spread out. The only issue we had was the bedroom off the tv room/kitchen was very hot. There were a couple of mini portable a/c on the night stand but it was still warm. The rest of the house was great. Best location on the island with easy access to beach and 5-10 min walk or bike ride into town. Would love to return sometime!

We planned on eating out and doing some activities, but nobody wanted to leave this house. The views are spectacular and the beach not crowded probably because there's no condos or hotels nearby or public access. The bedrooms are all designed so there's at least an ocean view from private balconies and they all have their own bathroom. Also lots of couches for extra sleeping for the kiddos. Kitchen well stocked and everything so clean. Instead of paying for condos we had 4 families split the cost which made it reasonable and a million times better than staying in a condo.

We've stayed at this house 2 years in a row and have it booked again for 2023. You can't beat its location on North Forest. We've stayed in Hilton Head probably 20 times, and North Forest beats Sea Pines and the other plantations hands down. You can't come closer to the ocean than this house and the view is phenomenal. Every night we all sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the sound of the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked and the appliances are top-end. The beds are comfortable and the house is not only beautiful but clean. The rooms are laid out well and each had its own balcony. and bathroom, so great for multiple families. Loved the new wood floors in all the rooms, just feels cleaner than carpet. And we appreciated they left a sweeper so we could quickly clean up any sand the kids tracked in. The only downfall is the week we wanted was booked so we had to go with our second-choice week. We learned our lesson and will book asap for 2024.

This house is spectacular. The location and property exceeded our expectations. My parents originally worried we adult kids would argue over the bedrooms, but it turns out this house has 7 phenomenal bedrooms. All are either oceanfront or amazing ocean view. All with private baths and balconies. The kitchen has an oven I'd love to have in my own home and 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers. The house has 2 washers and dryers as well. Absolutely perfect!

Second stay at this fabulous oceanfront home… you won't find a better place to be one with the sky, sand and ocean. Views are incredible, Coligny within easy walking distance, management very professional, competent and quick to please. Looking forward to coming back again as all twenty adults and grandkids, ages 5-78, unanimously agree that it is the best.

Beautiful home in the perfect place - North Forest Beach. Bringing together our college buddies with families in tow, it proved a big enough home for everyone and every age group from boomers to three year olds. Loved the idea of reserving the gear online - and having 4 bikes when we arrived. We've stayed here before, and hint: there is always a chest full of sand toys in the garage for the kids! We did experience a hiccup with the plumbing - but the managers were very helpful and responsive in getting things fixed as quickly as possible. These things happen! We spent every single evening on the spectacular porch sitting in the rocking chairs, enjoying the beautifully cool breezes off the ocean and dreaming of our next trip back. Can't wait! This home is just perfect.

57 Dune is the perfect location to be within walking distance to Coligny but far enough away so the beach isn't crowded. We loved how close this house is to the water and the unobstructed views from so many rooms as well as multiple balconies. Everyone was happy with their rooms but we all spent most of our time outside! The massive balcony with all the rocking chairs was a perfect place to gather and the kids loved the ping pong table and basketball goal. We had a fabulous week and have already booked this house for 2021!

You can not beat HHI for a family vacation and this house was perfect for our extended family vacation. We had a set of grandparents, 5 additional married couples and 10 kids. All the adults were happy with their accommodations (3 bedrooms are actual oceanfront, 2 have what I would call oceanfront balconies, and 2 have balconies with good ocean views). The private balconies are nice for when you want to get away from the rest of the family for a bit. 3 bedrooms are master suites and a 4th pretty close to that. The family with older kids took the room with 2 queen beds and the other 8 kids slept in the bunk room. There's a set of twin bunks and then a set of queen bunks. 3 kids slept in each queen. There's also lots of couches we'd planned on some kids sleeping on but they all wanted to be in the bunk room together. The kitchen has a Dacor gas oven which took a bit getting used to but we really appreciated the 2 refrigerators & 2 dishwashers. There's another small kitchen upstairs that was convenient. There are lots of TVs that my ex-military dad kept going around turning off and telling people to get outside. The pool is nice but on the small side. That seems to be what you find in HHI. The ping pong table and basketball goal got plenty of use as did the bikes. We all had bikes and we hit the beach or bike paths daily. Almost every evening we rode down to Coligny for ice cream. Another plus on this house is it's clean. You don't always get that. We did see one of the unavoidable palmetto bugs but we called and they sent out the exterminator and he sprayed that day while we all hung out out the pool. We went to 4 stars on "experience"" because of the bug and the hard to use oven (give me a cheap electric oven?). But we've already re-booked this house for next year."

This is just an incredible home. We loved the decor, location, layout, amenities and cleanliness! From the upstairs balcony you can look out over the ocean and it reminded me of the window tables on cruise ships where you feel like you are right on the water. This house is far enough away from Coligny that the beach is not so crowded but close enough to Coligny to walk or bike down for lunch. And our kids loved the ping pong and basketball goal. But for me, this house is all about the ocean and the amazing views.

We've been coming to HHI for years and this is the best house yet. It is as close to the ocean as you can get with a walkway over the dune. The kitchen is well stocked and even has a high-end Dacor 6-burner range. All the bedrooms have balconies with views, multiple are ocean front. The house is close enough to Coligny to walk or bike, but far enough away so the beach isn't crowded. 6 kids slept in the bunk room (and loved it!) and 4 others crashed on the couches (not sleeper sofas but long enough for 9 year olds). There are 3 oceanfront bedrooms with kings so truly all 3 are master bedrooms and all the bedrooms have their own bathrooms plus there's a half bath. There's also a nice outdoor "shower"" (not enclosed) with hot & cold water by the pool. We had some rain but everyone gathered by the pool under the overhang while kids kept swimming or played ping pong in the car port area."
