Description Description
This gorgeous home is just a short walk to the beach from a quiet seaside community in Burkes Beach. The lower floor houses the garages and a game area that looks out to the beautiful pool, which is great for family fun in the sun. The main floor has an open room concept where the kitchen, living room, and dining area flow into each other. There is lots of comfortable seating, high ceilings, and a full wall of windows that showcase a bright screen porch and a huge deck that steps down to the pool. This floor has the beautifully appointed master bedroom suite, laundry room, and 2 large guest rooms with their own bathrooms. The top floor boasts a fantastic bridge overlooking the great room and 3 additional spacious bedroom suites. An elevator connects all three floors. With sandy beaches just a short walk away, whether at the beach or in the pool, this beach house will surely provide a dream vacation getaway!

The property was amazing. We met up with our kids and their family for a week’s vacation. The kitchen was huge. We all sat around the dining table plus a high chair for lunches and dinners. The pool was so much fun. Our granddaughters loved it. We will be back for another vacation!!

Amazing beach house
We loved everything about this property! The proximity to the beach was great - an easy 5 minute walk. We had a great time playing all of the games in the game room - pool and shuffle board were a huge hit. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool - plenty of seating and great location right off the game room. The house was beautifully decorated and the kitchen was fully stocked with all that we needed. The beds were so comfortable and the entire house was immaculate.

Great house - well appointed and comfortable
This was a great house for a big group - everything was well labeled, lots of towels, and very clean. THe games room was a lot of fun - plus having 7.5 bathrooms is great. The management company was very timely and responsive to a minor issue. I would note the beach was a hike with gear and was very crowded due to public beach access and high tide issues.

Family Vacation
Absolutely amazing and perfect for the entire family. 4 generations from age 2 to 76, everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed every part of house, plenty of space for all, the beds were comfortable, the house was spotless, had all the necessary equipment we needed to be there for a week! Family Of 18
The property served our family of 18 well with ages from 1 to 73. Having a bathroom in each bedroom was a big plus. Highlights included the pool, accesss to a great beach, big kitchen island, screened in dining area, four bikes, and a great lower level with things to do for all ages. Negatives were that the main floor (actual floor) could have been cleaner and a few minor issues that were taken care of quickly and efficiently by the property management. Rated highly by all.

Great location, floor plan and pool!
We have rented a number of homes on HHI and this was by far the best in terms of location, spacious layout and swimming pool. The pool was larger than most with partial sun and our kids really enjoyed it! We also enjoyed the ground floor game room and 2nd floor screened in porch. The WiFi and TVs worked perfectly the entire time. This home was just as pictured and described. If you have young children a wagon or golf cart would make the walk to beach more manageable. We look forward to renting this property again!

This property did not disappoint! We had multiple families staying & there was so much space! Beautifully decorated. Pool & basement were great. 2025 Beach Renourishment Project 2025 Beach Renourishment Project

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS provided by the TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Hilton Head Island's beach is crucial to both residents and the local economy. To preserve this valuable resource, the Town has planned a beach restoration project for Summer 2025, funded primarily by tourism through the local Beach Preservation Fee.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
  • The 2025 beach renourishment is expected to be similar to the previous projects in 1990, 1997, 2006 and 2016.
  • The proposed project will include the placement of approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach compatible sand from up to four offshore borrow areas along about 46,500 ft of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  • This project is part of the Town's ongoing beach management program, with renourishment scheduled every 8 to 10 years, depending on weather and beach conditions.
  • Pine Island in Hilton Head Plantation will be included in the 2025 restoration.
SAND PLACEMENT

The proposed project will include sand placement along five areas of the island shoreline:

  1. South Beach / South Island - Approximately 750,000 cubic yards of sand along approximately 10,230 feet of the southern Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  2. Central Island - Approximately 700,000 cubic yards along 28,860 feet of Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  3. The Heel - Approximately 500,000 cubic yards of sand along 5,280 feet at the northeast point of the island at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  4. Fish Haul Creek - Approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand along about 2,130 feet of Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  5. Pine Island - Approximately 180,000 cubic yards of beach compatible sand and construction of six rock breakwaters on the Port Royal Sound shoreline of Hilton Head Plantation between Dolphin Head and Pine Island.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The nourishment sand will be excavated by hydraulic dredge from two offshore shoal features.

  • Up to 50,000 feet of pipeline will be trucked or floated to the island by way of large rafts, then moved onto the beach.
  • The pipeline will be piled in stacks along the shoreline until needed during construction.
  • During construction, many miles of pipeline will be submerged on the ocean floor between the offshore borrow sites and the beach.
  • The rest of the pipeline will be laid progressively along the newly constructed beach as the fill sand is pumped on shore.

The dredge will pump a mixture of sand and seawater through the pipeline, and will discharge it onto the beach.

  • There, it will flow parallel to the shoreline - allowing the sand to settle out and the water to return to the sea.
  • Bulldozers and other heavy construction machinery will constantly shape the sand to meet the design specifications.

Project construction is expected to last approximately six months, operating around the clock.

  • On average, the process should move along the shoreline at a rate of about 200 to 300 feet per day.
  • As the fill placement progresses, approximately 1,000 foot sections of the beach are closed temporarily to pedestrian access.
  • Several days of work activity will occur seaward of any one piece of oceanfront property in the 1,000 foot active work area along the beach.
  • Once placed and rough-graded, the new beach is immediately reopened to the public.
IMPACTS ON RESIDENTS AND VISITORS
  • Construction noise will primarily involve bulldozers shaping the sand as it is deposited.
  • Disruptions at individual properties generally last about three or four days as the renourishment operation progresses.
  • Adjacent property owners, or renters, may experience short-term minor inconveniences.
