Wonderful condo and great location!
Stayed here last year and though the kitchen needed some work, much to our surprise when we returned this year, there had been a complete redo! Jennifer did a wonderful job! Calming colors and wonderful accents combine for a relaxing stay. Seacrest is handy to great restaurants/bars, great shopping, and a Piggly Wiggly with great fresh shrimp and other necessities. Pools don't "open"until March 1, but you can still relax and read a book poolside. And of course Pool Bar Jim's, with the best staff ever, is onsite and a great meeting place for friends and family. And most important, The Vacation Company's staff is readily available and response time if you have a problem. They are the best! Our only complaint is that the lagoons have been a mess for the past 3 years. Get it done! You won't go wrong with 1303 and The Vacation Company!

Great Property, Great Location!
Four of stayed in this unit. It was very spacious, and the rooms/suites set up was very nice. The location was great located right across from Coligney shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.

Sunny Balcony overlooking Pool and Ocean
Loved this unit, exceptionally clean. Some of the kitchen cabinets are badly worn. But access to beach bar, ocean and walkability to restaurants, two breakfast bakeries, and Piggly Wiggly can’t be beat. The heat pump to the pool broke down, unfortunately, because it was a bit cool in early March.

Great location and very clean!
The location can't be beat - directly across from Coligny plaza and right on the beach. If you go in February or early March, there's some maintenance going on the property in the lagoon pools although there wasn't any bothersome noise. Check the status of the swimming pools as they were both marked closed while we were there (they looked clean and swimmable to me). Pool Bar Jims was open from 11-6 which was a nice surprise. The unit was VERY clean and although the kitchen cabinets showed their age, the kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc. The unit setup was awesome for having separated sleeping/bathroom areas. Would definitely stay there again.

Location can’t be beat
This location was arguably one of the best spots of any trip we’ve taken. The beach access, simple parking, pools, Jim’s pool bar, Coligny Plaza, all so close! I would absolutely stay here again. The only thing I’d say could be improved would be the master bed mattress is worn out and has a huge hump in the middle with indentations where it’s been worn. It’s comfortable and soft but lop sided. I’d definitely stay here again even with the lumpy bed!

Perfect Vacation
Our family had an amazing time at Sea Crest. We are a family of four with two teenage boys and we all had a great vacation. The property is beautiful inside and out! We loved playing on the beach and riding our bikes all around Hilton Head Island. It really was a perfect get away for our family.

Super stay at Seacrest
Great location for all things- beach, restaurants, shopping, biking. The unit was larger than many 2 bedroom condos on beach. It was so comfortable including the bed. Couldn’t have a more gorgeous view given the lagoon and ocean view. We went between Spring Break and summer busy seasons so the amount of people was just right for us. I’m not sure I could take the crowds if busy season. I would re-rent this exact place!

Lovely view of the ocean
The condo was very comfortable, nicely appointed and very conveniently located to food and shopping. Mattress was very comfortable. We had considerable miscommunication by e-mail trying to get the door code to get in, but once we got a phone number and called, we received very kind and helpful service. There was no indication on the web site that the in-door pool and fitness center were closed due to Covid, but they were very kind in sending someone to install a DVD unit to help with some entertainment during a week of rain.

Great location - walking / biking distance to everything. We arrived after dark and it was hard to figure out where to enter the parking deck or which building was ours. Some instructions relative to this would be helpful for newcomers to these condos.

September get away
Great location right across the street from Coligny plaza. Shops, restaurants and a Piggly Wiggly. Sea Crest is a great place. Green space with fountains, 2 pools and the best pool bar. Great views of the ocean from both balconies. The condo has a great layout and great view.

As Promised - but room for improvement
The unit was very nice, clean and matched the photos and description exactly. Too cold to swim in the ocean this time of year but the pool was pretty good - and the grounds are well-maintained. The twin beds could use an upgrade - they felt a little like sleeping on an air mattress. Also, the check-in/check-out could have been smoother. We never got a code to unlock the unit, but were fortunate to run into the facility manager (after business hours) who helped us gain access. Also, on our final day, our door code expired before 11am so I nearly got locked out as I was loading up the car.

Start date for Hilton Head Island Beach Renourishment
Project-Phase 1 shifts to mid-August

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (January 14, 2026) Marinex Construction will begin mobilizing at Fish Haul Beach Park as part of the Town of Hilton Head Island’s beach renourishment project in mid-August. Marinex updated the new start date due to adverse weather and marine conditions affecting the transfer of materials and equipment from a site off the Florida Atlantic coast.

Originally, Marinex was scheduled to start construction at Fish Haul Beach Park off Mitchelville Road on Aug. 6. Instead, mobilization is now scheduled to take place from about Aug. 13 to Sept. 1. Active beach renourishment construction is anticipated to start during the week of Sept. 2 and be completed by the week of Sept. 15 at Fish Haul. It is anticipated that Fish Haul Beach will be closed to the public for approximately five days in early September when the beach fill begins.

This is a 24/7 project.

Despite this temporary delay, survey and pre-construction activities are ongoing, and the project team remains on track to complete the renourishment work in accordance with the contract schedule windows. "As with any project of this magnitude, we anticipate that changes may arise due to various factors. We encourage the public to stay connected with us through social media and our website for any updates regarding the beach renourishment project," said Jeff Netzinger, Director of Engineering and Public Projects for the Town.

The beach renourishment project will occur in three phases, with an anticipated completion date of May 2026. The new anticipated schedule is as follows:

  • Phase 1 - Port Royal (the Heel), Fish Haul and Pine Island
    • Complete - Contractor mobilizes in August 2025.
    • Complete - Weeks of August 13, 2025 thru September 17, 2025 - Fish Haul area
    • Complete - Weeks of September 18, 2025 thru October 10, 2025 - Pine Island
    • Complete - Weeks of October 11, 2025 thru October 17, 2025 - Port Royal (The Heel)
  • Phase 2 - Central Island, South Island and South Beach
    • Weeks of December 11, 2025 thru March 28, 2026 - Central Island, including beach areas along Palmetto Dunes
    • Weeks of March 28, 2026 thru May 31, 2026 - South Island and South Beach areas .
  • Phase 3 - Pine Island Breakwater Structures
    • Weeks of November 1, 2025 thru April 30, 2026

“It’s a priority to preserve, protect and cherish our beaches – one of our greatest assets. Our Island depends on their ongoing vitality. The Town’s role is to carry out the community’s collective dedication to this environmental core value through our investment in restoration and maintenance,” said Mayor Alan Perry. “And fortunately, due to the foresight of Town leaders before us and thanks to our millions of visitors, this project is funded through our beach preservation fund and capital improvement program.”


Beach renourishment is a moving work zone that typically progresses at about 1,000 feet per section-just 2% of the Island’s total beach area. On average, only 300 feet of beach will be impacted per day. Temporary beach access ramps and clear signage will help direct beachgoers safely around active work areas to open areas of the beach. As soon as an active site is completed, the equipment will move down the beach and the newly renourished section will open.

Special protection has been made for wildlife that may be impacted because of the project. All work will be supervised by consultant teams under contract to monitor sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Additionally, per a requirement of the beach renourishment permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Town amended its municipal code to restrict animal/dog activity in an area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek beach park. This requirement protects endangered shorebird species that migrate and nest there. Signage is posted and no other beach areas will be affected. Dogs are still allowed per the Town’s seasonal rules – only a small section of the creek area adjacent to the beach park is restricted.

Marinex Construction, Inc., the contractor for the project, began mobilizing equipment this month in preparation for the work. This includes positioning their offshore barges and staging miles of steel pipes to pump sand from ocean shoals back to beaches. Crews will be working around the clock daily.

The beach renourishment process helps to:

  • Preserve a healthy shoreline ecosystem for wildlife such as sea turtles and shorebirds.
  • Protect beachfront properties and infrastructure from storms.
  • Provide wider, more enjoyable beaches for residents and visitors alike.
