For convenience, there is a mudroom right off the kitchen with a second refrigerator for storing groceries and beverages and a washer and dryer. One car garage is available to guests. The bedrooms and bathrooms are both beautiful and comfortable.

Enjoy your coffee on the back porch overlooking the lush landscape and golf course. An inviting pool is just off the back porch with a private deck for fun in the sun. The outdoor dining and grilling area affords easy al fresco dining! This island oasis has it all.

Very nice
We had 12 of us and it was great. We had 3 days of rain so we spent a lot of time inside. It was well furnished with everything shown on line. Lots of games and TV in family room was huge. Really nice to have two fridges with all the food and drinks we had. The Vacation Company was very responsive to our needs and we would highly recommend them.

Great Property, very spacious rooms.
Living Space, bedrooms and kitchen are much larger that appear in photos. We had a great time and would recommend this property to anyone.

Great property, great vacation!
My family stayed at this property for one week and we absolutely loved it! The house is huge with 5 bedrooms and plenty of comfy beds, definitely room for a large gathering! If you have someone in your party that has difficulty with stairs, there are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, one with an attached bathroom, and one with a full bath right outside the bedroom door. That is a plus when you travel with an older family member! The kitchen is spacious and stocked with all the things you need to make meals for the nights that you don't go out. The family room is also huge with lots of seating and a huge tv (teenagers loved that!) There is a cabinet stocked with lots of games and some dvds. The kitchen table seats 8 which was perfect for our family to play cards. There is a deck right off the back of the house with a table and chairs which was perfect for morning coffee and bird watching. Down from the deck is the pool and patio / yard which has many trees and is very secluded and peaceful. Just beautiful! Played a few lawn games too which was great family time. The rental company was also quick to respond when we had a question about where to find a broom. The house itself is located on a quiet street. We had daily walks or bike rides to the beach. Very easy to get to the beach from the house, maybe a little less than 10 minutes walking. Sunrise on the beach is a must see! The garage has a cart to help with trips to the beach and some beach chairs too! There are bikes in the garage and we took many bike rides. The trails go everywhere! We rode to the beach, the local diner, and I highly recommend a morning ride to Island bagel and deli for the most delicious bagels! You can even ride to 2 local mini golf places. I just can't say enough about the house and our Hilton Head vacation, we loved it and will definitely be back!

Best home in Hilton Head
We had such a phenomenal time at this property. We have been vacationing in HH and Palmetto Dunes for many years with a LARGE family, and this home was the best we’ve stayed in by far. The home itself was perfect. Great layout to accommodate our large group and plenty of space, and everyone has their own bathroom. It didn’t feel crowded at all, which is saying something with a group our size! The location was great. Right on the golf course with plenty of privacy, yet easy walking distance to the beach. The included bikes & beach cart made getting around easy with one less thing for us to worry about. There were even boogie boards and extra beach towels included. With all that said, it really was the little things which were thought of that made all the difference. Things like, having small appliances on hand (like a rice cooker that saved our bacon when we forgot ours), plenty of towels, dishes, glasses, coffee mugs, silverware. Brooms, and a vacuum made keeping things in order such a breeze. The value of the second fridge really can’t be overstated with a large group! There was even an extra 20lb propane tank for the grill. This is the best property we’ve experienced in Palmetto Dunes. Will definitely be back! A+++

Anniversary Gathering with the Family
We stayed here to celebrate our 35th anniversary. WOW what a beautiful property!!! Loved that we had 4 bicycles for the adults to explore the Palmetto Dunes area and that there were two wagons to haul children "and all the stuff" to the beach which was conveniently only 10 minutes away. Rhonda B was a very attentive property manager and promptly helped with any needs we had. We loved having the pool in the back yard as an additional swimming option. Would definitely come again in the future!

Perfect home for our family vacation- 10 Heath
We loved this home in Palmetto Dunes. It was clean, well stocked, walking distance to the beach/tennis/store and restaurants in the plantation. Our group consisted of parents and 4 adult children each with either a spouse or significant other. We had comfortable beds, nice big area around the kitchen and family room. The dining room had 10 chairs which was perfect for us for eating and playing games/cards. We also enjoyed the deck overlooking the pool and the golf course. The grill worked well out there. The pool was a surprisingly sunny area and a nice change from the beach. We used the 4 bikes to ride around several times. Having 2 refrigerators was really nice as well. We used one for keeping drinks cold. Kroger is maybe 1/2 mile from the entrance which was super convenient. The neighborhood is active but also peaceful and quiet. It’s a very family friendly atmosphere in and around Palmetto Dunes. Truly, every aspect of our stay was great and it was an easy in and out process. We would definitely book this place again and have room to grow with the few empty beds we had in the bunk room.

2025 Beach Renourishment Project 2025 Beach Renourishment Project

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS provided by the TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Hilton Head Island's beach is crucial to both residents and the local economy. To preserve this valuable resource, the Town has planned a beach restoration project for Summer 2025, funded primarily by tourism through the local Beach Preservation Fee.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
  • The 2025 beach renourishment is expected to be similar to the previous projects in 1990, 1997, 2006 and 2016.
  • The proposed project will include the placement of approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach compatible sand from up to four offshore borrow areas along about 46,500 ft of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  • This project is part of the Town's ongoing beach management program, with renourishment scheduled every 8 to 10 years, depending on weather and beach conditions.
  • Pine Island in Hilton Head Plantation will be included in the 2025 restoration.
SAND PLACEMENT

The proposed project will include sand placement along five areas of the island shoreline:

  1. South Beach / South Island - Approximately 750,000 cubic yards of sand along approximately 10,230 feet of the southern Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  2. Central Island - Approximately 700,000 cubic yards along 28,860 feet of Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  3. The Heel - Approximately 500,000 cubic yards of sand along 5,280 feet at the northeast point of the island at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  4. Fish Haul Creek - Approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand along about 2,130 feet of Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  5. Pine Island - Approximately 180,000 cubic yards of beach compatible sand and construction of six rock breakwaters on the Port Royal Sound shoreline of Hilton Head Plantation between Dolphin Head and Pine Island.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The nourishment sand will be excavated by hydraulic dredge from two offshore shoal features.

  • Up to 50,000 feet of pipeline will be trucked or floated to the island by way of large rafts, then moved onto the beach.
  • The pipeline will be piled in stacks along the shoreline until needed during construction.
  • During construction, many miles of pipeline will be submerged on the ocean floor between the offshore borrow sites and the beach.
  • The rest of the pipeline will be laid progressively along the newly constructed beach as the fill sand is pumped on shore.

The dredge will pump a mixture of sand and seawater through the pipeline, and will discharge it onto the beach.

  • There, it will flow parallel to the shoreline - allowing the sand to settle out and the water to return to the sea.
  • Bulldozers and other heavy construction machinery will constantly shape the sand to meet the design specifications.

Project construction is expected to last approximately six months, operating around the clock.

  • On average, the process should move along the shoreline at a rate of about 200 to 300 feet per day.
  • As the fill placement progresses, approximately 1,000 foot sections of the beach are closed temporarily to pedestrian access.
  • Several days of work activity will occur seaward of any one piece of oceanfront property in the 1,000 foot active work area along the beach.
  • Once placed and rough-graded, the new beach is immediately reopened to the public.
IMPACTS ON RESIDENTS AND VISITORS
  • Construction noise will primarily involve bulldozers shaping the sand as it is deposited.
  • Disruptions at individual properties generally last about three or four days as the renourishment operation progresses.
  • Adjacent property owners, or renters, may experience short-term minor inconveniences.
