*Lighthouse Lane Infrastructure Improvement Project [May 2025 - June 2025]*

• Due to the significant infrastructure construction work, planned and unplanned water/utility outages may occur along with construction noise

• Heavy machinery, construction vehicles, single-lane road closures, and sidewalk closures will lead to traffic delays and detours

• Project work zones include Lighthouse Lane from Mizzenmast Ln to 41 Lighthouse Ln, Along Harbour Town Golf Links 18th Fairway, and Spinnaker Court

Beginning on May 5, 2025, two weeks after the finish of this year's RBC Heritage, the world-famous, Pete Dye-designed Harbour Town Golf Links will close for an extensive restoration project. This project has a tentative completion date of November 2025. Views of the course may be obstructed as course maintenance will be taking place 5-7 days a week.

This proper met and exceed the expectations from the listing. The location is ideal with views of the sound and the 18th hole. The house is beautifully decorated and well-appointed. We had one very minor issue which was addressed quickly. Working with the property managers was easy and pleasant. My family and I are already talking about our next stay!

Wonderful House
We had the absolute best time at this property - the location was so perfect, walking distance to the harbor and club house and the pool on the bottom floor was an amazing spot to hang with the family. Def would recommend and would love to stay here again in the future!

Breathing taking Views!
We so enjoyed our stay at this amazing home. It is beautiful and could have asked for a more awesome home to spend our vacation time. It was fantastic. Our entire family was here for the week and plan to return next year for the 4th of July week - Can't wait!

We'd absolutely love to return again!
As two families of 4, we wanted plenty of space to escape the cold New England winter. We found that at 15 Genoa! The property is absolutely stunning. All bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped. The kitchen had what we needed to enjoy the full week. We found the pool heating to be worth the investment! The property manager was very communicative and helpful. There is also something very special about a sunset over the 18th hole at Harbour Town. We'd absolutely love to return again! Thanks for sharing this gem with us :)

Lovely Week at 15 Genoa

Well worth it!
We visit HH twice a year and always try to find a villa on the 18th hole on Harbour Town Golf Links. This year we were told our original villa had become unavailable so we happened upon this amazing 4 story gem on the fairway. Honestly this villa was too big for just the four of us, but it was spectacular! The main living area of kitchen, dining and living room looks out over the fairway and Calibogue sound, and the main bedrooms have an even better view. Big bathrooms, lots of closet space, the kitchen had everything we needed and we loved the outdoor deck, watching the players come through. Easy walk to the clubhouse for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and we enjoyed many visits to the Quarterdeck for cocktails and the shops in the harbor. One minus was the elevator was not working in the villa, and after a few days, that walk up 4 flights to the primary bedroom when we forgot something was getting comical! If we were older, we probably would have opted for the lower floor bedrooms. All in all, we would definitely rent this property again…well worth it!

Our favorite place so far!
We come to Hilton Head early and have stayed all over Sea Pines. Staying right there near the 18 th hole is our favorite because it’s absolutely beautiful and Harbor Town is a short walk. Trust us - book this place!!!

2025 Beach Renourishment Project 2025 Beach Renourishment Project

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS provided by the TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Hilton Head Island's beach is crucial to both residents and the local economy. To preserve this valuable resource, the Town has planned a beach restoration project for Summer 2025, funded primarily by tourism through the local Beach Preservation Fee.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
  • The 2025 beach renourishment is expected to be similar to the previous projects in 1990, 1997, 2006 and 2016.
  • The proposed project will include the placement of approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach compatible sand from up to four offshore borrow areas along about 46,500 ft of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  • This project is part of the Town's ongoing beach management program, with renourishment scheduled every 8 to 10 years, depending on weather and beach conditions.
  • Pine Island in Hilton Head Plantation will be included in the 2025 restoration.
SAND PLACEMENT

The proposed project will include sand placement along five areas of the island shoreline:

  1. South Beach / South Island - Approximately 750,000 cubic yards of sand along approximately 10,230 feet of the southern Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  2. Central Island - Approximately 700,000 cubic yards along 28,860 feet of Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  3. The Heel - Approximately 500,000 cubic yards of sand along 5,280 feet at the northeast point of the island at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  4. Fish Haul Creek - Approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand along about 2,130 feet of Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  5. Pine Island - Approximately 180,000 cubic yards of beach compatible sand and construction of six rock breakwaters on the Port Royal Sound shoreline of Hilton Head Plantation between Dolphin Head and Pine Island.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The nourishment sand will be excavated by hydraulic dredge from two offshore shoal features.

  • Up to 50,000 feet of pipeline will be trucked or floated to the island by way of large rafts, then moved onto the beach.
  • The pipeline will be piled in stacks along the shoreline until needed during construction.
  • During construction, many miles of pipeline will be submerged on the ocean floor between the offshore borrow sites and the beach.
  • The rest of the pipeline will be laid progressively along the newly constructed beach as the fill sand is pumped on shore.

The dredge will pump a mixture of sand and seawater through the pipeline, and will discharge it onto the beach.

  • There, it will flow parallel to the shoreline - allowing the sand to settle out and the water to return to the sea.
  • Bulldozers and other heavy construction machinery will constantly shape the sand to meet the design specifications.

Project construction is expected to last approximately six months, operating around the clock.

  • On average, the process should move along the shoreline at a rate of about 200 to 300 feet per day.
  • As the fill placement progresses, approximately 1,000 foot sections of the beach are closed temporarily to pedestrian access.
  • Several days of work activity will occur seaward of any one piece of oceanfront property in the 1,000 foot active work area along the beach.
  • Once placed and rough-graded, the new beach is immediately reopened to the public.
IMPACTS ON RESIDENTS AND VISITORS
  • Construction noise will primarily involve bulldozers shaping the sand as it is deposited.
  • Disruptions at individual properties generally last about three or four days as the renourishment operation progresses.
  • Adjacent property owners, or renters, may experience short-term minor inconveniences.
